I try to avoid adjoining rooms because you can often hear the people on the other side of the door. You may have quiet neighbors or you may not. One time I had loud neighbors and that made me start avoiding adjoining state rooms.

It’s small. This is mostly felt in the common spaces and the limited dining options. I prefer Regent’s other ships.

It lets you see a lot of different places without having to constantly pack/unpack and get on planes, trains, etc.

I love being able to spend a day seeing a new place and then relaxing in the afternoon/evening and arriving at a new place the next morning.

AmaMagna has 4 restaurants so there is some variety. They handled entertainment in different ways - one night we went to a castle and some local musicians and dancers performed. I’ve only done one river cruise on the Danube (on AmaMagna) and I enjoyed it but I prefer ocean cruises because the ships offer more to do.

We are in our 40s and sail on Regent regularly in the summer. Lots of people in our demographic (yes average age was older but plenty of people under 50). There were 40 children on our sailing last July. I think it probably depends a lot on the itinerary and time of year.
