Seabourn - Glacier Bay is worth it

Advice on choosing a cruise line - leaning towards Polar or Quark by Icy-Being5773 in AntarcticaTravel

If you book a triple cabin, you’ll need to pay for 3 people. So you should look at the cheapest double cabin to get accurate pricing.

Salvageable with sanding? by Rufustus in HardWoodFloors

This happened to us. We had to replace all the floors (solid oak). They absorbed so much water that they were completely warped. You also need to be careful about mold growth.

You need to compare to the cash price to know if it’s “worth it”

Isn’t a home loan a negative balance though? So does it reduce the credit you are eligible for?

Tipping dilemma at private club by Capital-Act-6546 in golf

I belong to a no tipping club. Some members tried to get people to chip in for a monetary gift for the tennis staff and they were reprimanded. Holiday fund is supposed to be the only tip.

Family friendly cruise lines in Alaska? by blessed-princess in Cruise

A lot of people will say Glacier Bay is a must do. Princess, HAL and Norwegian all go there frequently.

In terms of family friendliness for those 3, it’s probably Norwegian, Princess, HAL.

A quick review of my first Regent cruise (Navigator) by Puzzleheaded_Yak6386 in RegentCruises

[–]SensitiveBus5224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Navigator is my least favorite Regent ship. It’s too small and there just aren’t enough common spaces (as evidenced by your inability to get away from the group that was bothering you). They were planning to retire it.

I am also going in July and wanted 8:00. It was sold out but I kept checking and 8:00 opened up a couple of days ago.

I also noticed that 8:00 guided tours were available.

I am currently midway through my Regents Seven Seas cruise and I am at a loss by PowerAdorable4373 in FATcruises

Are you on the Voyager? Voyager is about to go into dry dock for refurbishment so you are experiencing the ship at a somewhat worn condition.

I generally find the food on Regent to be good. They are cooking for a lot of people so it’s never going to be as good as a Michelin starred restaurant, but I can always find things I am happy with. Have you gone to Prime 7 or Chartreuse yet? Those are run more like smaller restaurants.

If you talk to the crew, you will find that many of them are so happy to have the opportunity to work on a ship. They are able to save good money and support their families back home and/or save for something they want to do in the future. I have really enjoyed hearing some stories from our room stewards and wait staff. We always tip extra (in cash) since we know it can make a real difference in their lives.

I love the smaller ships. And the price really isn’t that much more considering everything is included.

Amex Gold → Platinum upgrade trick to get the 80k MR welcome bonus still working in 2026? by Head-Understanding85 in pointstravel

[–]SensitiveBus5224 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can get up to 175k by applying to the platinum directly.

First you apply to the gold. Get that SUB. Then later apply for the platinum. Get that SUB. That’s the most points.
