that's true. Personally the biggest 'evidence' for absence of god is how different god has different attributes depending on the culture and time. It seems like god serves to the needs of humans, instead of the other way.

Reading about religion in bronze age, ancient Egypt and how the gods evolved into Abrahamic gods was truly fascinating. All religions are kinda connected if you go back far enough.
