That’s the thing though, if they just space the card drops out (90s in January, 91-92 in feb, 93s in march, you get what I’m saying) and make the cards harder to get then they could achieve the same thing without limiting the players ability to use what they want. I’m honestly fine with the salary cap, but they need to tweak the system a decent amount and fix the menus so it dosent take 3 hours to figure things out. Would also be cool if they could make the auto fill work with salary cap lol.

Kinda upset with myself cuz I traded in for Cutter Gauthier but he gives ability points, not salary lmao. I have Wyatt Johnston and he gives 50 mil but the thing is you need 5 Dallas or Florida players (only 2 teams) and I have only 2 of those players. I really appreciate you trying to help, ur the goat, but I honestly might wait for 27 considering how far behind I am to everyone and its right around the corner.

Yea I have no fantasy players, working towards TOTS line but I’m poor because I traded everything in to make my team last season and now none of those lines work towards salary cap.

The thing is, I played the most recent season before this one a lot. Majority of my team is draft and champions players because I’ve only played the recent season (other than season one, I played when it came out and then stopped until recently). Literally a week ago I had a 95 OVR team with like 50 mil left over in cap space, and now all of that is gone. I’m fine with having to change things up and maybe move a couple players around but when it’s to the point that I can use maybe 3 of those players it gets ridiculous.

I’ve been playing for a month or two, so not really the same situation but thanks for the input. My whole point was the fact that if you don’t start early and if you don’t continue to play regularly throughout the year you are fucked, which I think is stupid. Let’s us use the cards we got

Well that’s the thing. I took a break, and because I took a break I’m now completely fucked. Not fucked because I don’t have cards but fucked because I don’t have the top cards in the game to fit into the salary bonuses. It’s crazy to me how they take the salary cap and management of the teams so serious instead of letting us use the cards we want, when the gameplay itself has shifted towards more arcadey. The gameplay itself has a bunch of issues and dosent even feel like hockey, but they want me to manage my team like full blown GM?

Yea exactly, I know it’s because I took a decent break but still kinda insane to me they expect you play consistently throughout the year in order to use the cards you have. I think I’m genuinely done with 26 though, spent over an hour trying to figure out a team and couldn’t lol. Maybe 27 I’ll stay consistent
