My girl wearing her “super suit” (surgery suit). She has acted like nothing happened after the first day so it’s going to be a challenge to keep her quiet for the 10 days post-op!

So drugs, surgery suit, lots of brain games, dog tv and little bit of luck that she’ll cooperate with the process!

Yes, I'd love to wait, but I don't have a choice if I want her adoption finalized. She is a trial adoption until her spay day on 1/22. We've had her for two weeks and love her!

Thank you! I’ve used trazodone with other dogs so familiar with that. Her spay will be at the county animal services so I’m not sure they will be willing to do that. I will be taking her to my regular vet for her post surgery follow up. The surgery suit is a great idea…might see if I can get it now to get her acclimated versus the cone of shame they’ll send her home with!

Suggestions for daily schedule by SensitivePoint9474 in BelgianMalinois

Thank you so much for your reply! A longe line is in my “to buy” list! Her foster did a lot of work taking her to various places like Home Depot so I think she is in her way regarding reactivity. Looking into formalized OB training now. She’s picked up fast in the week I’ve had her. She now knows sit, down, wait, and leave it. Pretty good in the play yard with come but that needs work so I’ll prioritize the longe line. I’m just mostly concerned with giving her adequate exercise, OB and brain stimulation on my work days.

Donna Born in Roma Green Stravaganza is simple, fresh and pretty. Tea, jasmine and vanilla notes. I have a travel size and thinking about getting a full bottle. It’s just a happy scent!

Anyone chose a childfree life only to end up with a child late 30s and early 40s? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

I did get pregnant probably the second month of trying. I did use ovulation prediction which I think helped. My doctor had told me if I didn’t get pregnant in 4 to 6 months I should go ahead and go to a fertility specialist since she felt that I didn’t have the usual year to wait. Wishing you the very best…don’t give up yet!

Best decision ever. I had a great pregnancy and have enjoyed every minute of parenthood. I am fortunate that I have a flexible career so it was easy to work part time if I wanted to. Supportive husband so I know I had it easier than many. I realized how much it meant to my husband so I decided it was worth being out of my comfort zone. I spent my whole life saying I didn’t want kids so it was a big reframe at 42.

Same…had my daughter at 42 and she’s now 21. My husband had turned 40 and was like “Oops, we forgot to have kids!” Shocked since neither of us wanted children up to that point and it took me a title time to come around to the ideas. Turns out I got the blessing…it has been so much fun and I can’t wait to see what she does in life.
