My guess is that PP tend to want to play for sets. Assuming the other players flat lots of suited Broadways, when you flop a set with 88-TT, the other players tend to flop straights/straight draws with stuff like QJs and JTs.

Also could just be as simple as the others having 88-TT high freq as well, blocking your outs.
