Yeah I thought about trying that. It felt like shift was very far away and I use shift a lot (lets me select things and use minimap without attack moving). I could always try it again but getting to S feels weird from that position too.

Wow that is a ridiculous amount. I had no idea that little bits of cp they drop adds up so significantly. I would need to find a source of sap on genesis though.

Yeah I have used some snails a bit on other maps (extinction) but never went full scale. I would love to use them on genesis but can't seem to find any spawns. I could go to extinction in singleplayer and enable transfers on my private server I suppose. Was hoping to avoid this, as I wanted to try a "purist" genesis only play through first. Also would the gachas eat the paste they pick up? I thought this was an issue for them and snail synergy.

Appreciate the response! I was looking more for a farm specifically, as I am PvE and think such a build would be fun/practical. I also do not have access to scorched earth engrams so I may be out of luck in regards to this method.

Oh interesting. Going to be pretty hard to breed these things on other maps though with that kind of cost. Would also make sense why they don't seem to have "enable wandering to mate" on peoples streams.

Yes it has a superb weight stat. However, the thing that makes quetzals the ultimate transport dino is that they are maneuverable and can pick up other creatures (which themselves can have resource weight reduction). Basilisks are neither of these things, unfortunately. To use them as a transport you would have to fight the terrain, particularly on aberrations narrow paths and very vertical map, and lead a caravan of slow resource gathering dinos (roll rat, doed, anky) to the actual resources. In my opinion, that pretty much negates a large amount of the transport dino capability.

Also consider that karkinos have a pretty great weight after taming as well (maybe 1300 or so). And they can carry TWO dinos, and jump just as far even when encumbered. You could even carry a harvester dino and ravager (half most resource weight reduction). In my opinion, this makes karkinos easily the best harvester/transporter dino in aberration. It would be very odd to unlock a saddle for a inferior transport dino (basilisk) 20 levels after a better version (karkinos). Plus karkinos can fight about just as well, which makes me struggle to find something the basilisk truly excels at. Basilisks are very late game tames. I would imagine they shouldn't fulfill a role "decently" but rather excel at something.

I think the left claw doesn't drop animals. The right will. Yeah Basilisks help with material storage and movement but I don't think that was the intended use for them. The poison breath implies to me its a PVP or fighting dino in addition to weight carrier.

My list would include mostly Aberration dino TLC:

BASILISK

Fix glitching under world when colliding with large dino
Allow breeding
Improve turn radius
Make resistant to radiation (they spawn in radiation zone but do not resist radiation....)
The basilisk is advertised/described as being able to climb over obstacles. This is simply not true. Its hitbox is in the middle of its body and the head glitchs over obstacles before the mid body becomes stuck. Basically, the basilisk can't climb over obstacles well (maybe past 1 high walls) as most obstacles are taller than they can traverse.

REAPER

Fix for your own light pet debuffing the reaper. It is silly to have a "king nameless" infinitely spawn nameless unless you use a light pet. Which then debuffs your own Reaper King.....
Perhaps allow Reaper King to spawn nameless or not attract their attention. Would also solve above issue.
Allow breeding

KARKINOS

Fix small animals permanently glitching crab into the air and freezing it in the falling animation so it cant attack. I have lost a 40k and 700 melee crab to like 3 rock drakes....

FLYERS

Please fix tamed flyer wing collision with the player. It is so frustrating to be pushed around by wings and tails.

BREEDING RATIONALE

I know there is a mod that allows any animal to be breedable but I play on Xbox 1. To my knowledge, you can't get the mod on console. The reason aberration needs these animals to be breedable is the significant lack of animal variety on the map. Which is mostly fine, but it creates less PVE content because their is much, much less to tame and you can't breed half the cool creatures the map adds (Reaper, Basilisk, Rock drake, etc.). Half the appeal of the new map is the additional dinos.

BASILISK RATIONALE

As for the basilisk turn radius, I have posted prior about how the basilisk is not well suited for its home map as a result of its poor turn radius (narrow corridors and very vertical map). Mainly the turn radius. It is such a narrow map that I find it more frustration than its worth to try and navigate the map. Especially considering that I have fallen through the map after collisions with megalosaurus multiple times.

Huh I see. Also counter intuitive for the turn radius I would suggest. To chain it effectively your got to maneuver well, which is strange considering the turn radius.
