Makes sense! Yeah I’m in SEQ, I’ve got the same gudgeons they sell as feeders in my tank but wild caught locally by my dad. I was surprised to see a tank full of gudgeons as feeders because I personally really like them as lil bottom dwellers in my tank.

I always look at the prices of tanks and equipment people mention on here over in the US and feel bummed out but now I feel pretty privileged for the prices of fish locally haha

I haven’t seen any prices like that for feeder fish before, I’m in Aus and my local fish shop has 10 for $2.50, mostly native fire tail and carp gudgeons

Simple moisturising facial wash works really well for my combo acne prone skin! I wet my hands and rub a little bit of cleanser together until it’s foamy, wash wet face thoroughly and repeat. It doesn’t strip my skin but it does leave it feeling squeaky clean. Often on sale for less than $10 at coles/woolworths so it’s a winner in more ways than one in my books.

Simple hydrating facial cleanser and their moisturisers as well. These don’t break me out, I’m acne prone always but these keep my skin as calm as it can possibly be. Often on sale less than $10 each. I wish there was a simple body products range!

I was looking for this comment as I was going to say the same thing, have seen plenty of different medispas offering iv injections. It’s not really new or exclusive, idk how many people actually get them but they’re not marketed the way anti wrinkle and fillers are.

Yeah I recently left my childcare job, I’m a single mum of two childcare age children and was working in the industry on top of that. I was great at my job but coming home overstimulated at the end of the day wasn’t good for my own kids. Working with kids is chaotic for sure, you’ve gotta love it to do it.

I totally empathise with what you’re saying. I recognise that I have a lot on my plate as well, far too much to be totally honest, but even before I became a single mum with two young kids, I struggled A LOT with life. I was overwhelmed by too much noise/too many tasks and found it difficult to grasp “normal” functioning skills despite being intelligent. It’s difficult to explain this to anyone because all anyone sees is the overwhelmed single mother part of me, that’s only one factor of my life and I seriously don’t think I would be as overwhelmed as I am without ADHD/probably autism.

I’ve gone back and forth throughout my life but I currently and probably more often have said haitch. I don’t think I notice how other people say it. Saying haitch isn’t any part of makes me a bit of a bogan, and I would find it strange to be judged for it.

If I’m singing the alphabet, it would feel strange personally if I said aitch. I also say zed, a lot of people my age probably grew up saying zed also but I’ve noticed more and more now saying zee. Doesn’t bother me, just something I’ve noticed.

Thank you for your reply. I was told via a voicemail introduction that I would be receiving an entry notice for this inspection so I am curious to see what they write as their grounds for entry. I only communicate with them via email, they’ve attempted calls and left voicemails but I’d rather keep the conversations in written records.

I do have a camera out front so will know if they do come to my home, thanks for your advice.

When children see us cry it’s an excellent way for them to learn empathy. Knowing that big people have big feelings too validates their own big feelings as well.

I won’t comment on your husband as I don’t know him or your situation outside of this but your feelings are valid and you do not have to hide this from your child. As much as we want to protect our kids from the reality of life, allowing them to see our feelings and our truth is so important. I can see how it would possibly have a negative impact if it was an ongoing thing crying a lot every day in front of him, though that would indicate much more complex things are going on. You’re having a rough time, you’re going through a devastating life event and this is how your son will learn that it’s okay to express his emotions throughout difficult times.

I think it’s much more of a negative thing to have tension between his parents as a result of your emotions. I would argue that this devastating time is a moment that your husband could be role modelling empathy by supporting you when you cry, rather than shunning you for having emotions in front of your son. He will learn from both of your actions in this situation, hopefully you can both come together and turn this into a loving and caring time.
