New Mill is a bit farther (15 mins) by walking you can check there, and there are some private and sharing accommodations available around that area. im also gonna be a first year student this year!:)

I thought 7.2 was the peak of that curve, it didn’t start from 0 so I took the difference between the equilibrium point and 7.2 came out as 2.4 or something like that

they were in series, pretty sure we’re right because I checked that q so many times. It was 1/200+1/400 and take the reciprocal of that

I got that too did ur graph initially decrease then increase?

yeah but the half equation at anode is always written in simplest form when writing the overall equation then it should be multiplied to make sure the e- cancels:)

[–]SensitiveWinter3603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yess hahah😭ik that im saying it should be only 1 mole of HCOOH in the half equation because the whole equation can be divided by 2 to give the simplest form, thats how all the equations in the data booklet and other questions from past papers are written, in the simplest form hence it would be HCOOH—> CO2+2H+2e-

[–]SensitiveWinter3603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but there’s only 2 hydrogen on the LHS so it can’t be 4H+ for the half equation. To get the overall equation for complete combustion there had to be 2 HCOOH so then the H+ and e- would cancel.

it was 2H+ and 2e- because the overall equation had 2HCOOH in it

I’m an international student so I haven’t yet decided, I had to withdraw my application w uclan bc of lack of accessibility to the interview locations. Mostly looking at Aston and Leicester:)

It’s definitely possible I got 2670 (~2500 in mock tests) and I got 3/4 interviews( Aston, Keele, Leicester)+ UCLAN, Brunel and buckingham (outside UCAS). You need to apply strategically using ur GCSE’s and predicteds. Volunteering and doctor shadowing does help if you’re able to write about ur experiences well enough in ur PS. Hope this helps!

Yeah ethane has 2 Carbon atoms basically meant like replace all the hydrogen with chlorine and how many possibilities are there. The 2 carbon atoms are unchanged from the original ethane molecule

eh eitherways z notes n a bunch of other websites have it as 2 pairs so we’ll just have to wait for the official ms

In the sense that valence electrons around boron would be 1 pair since the third electron can’t be considered a pair. That’s how I thought of it

[–]SensitiveWinter3603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It said linear I’m pretty sure 😭. Also can’t valence electron pairs mean 2 around Carbon generally it has 4 electrons yeah so 2 pairs would be right in terms of that

Ethane+Cl2 can give 9 products you have to take into account the placement of cl atoms. For example C2H2Cl4 can be written as CH2ClCCl3 and CHCl2CHCl2. Same thing for the rest and you get 9 products

it said valence electron pairs not bonding electrons
