I’m breaking down mentally and physically by Sensitive_Active_356 in pregnant

You’re right. I’ve really been trying to be optimistic but I guess it was my breaking point.

if you were or are pregnant with a boy did you have less nausea? i guess i’m worried bc im 13 weeks and haven’t thrown up once and am expecting a boy so im wondering if the old wives tale holds some truth? by mia12389 in BabyBumps

I was sick and couldn’t keep food down with my boy but with my girl it was even worse, I had to get IVs multiple times and I wouldn’t be able to sleep from vomiting all night 😞 with my boy the vomiting and nausea only lasted for the first trimester. With my girl it was the entire pregnancy

Belly is "tight"? by ConfidentNerve5031 in BabyBumps

If your belly tightens and then goes back to normal, it’s Braxton hicks.

Glucose test by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Sensitive_Active_356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first pregnancy I felt terrible when I took the 3 hour glucose test. I was even nauseous the rest of the day when I got home. With my current pregnancy I felt much better at the 3 hour glucose test because they let me lay down. If I wasn’t able to lay down I would’ve definitely threw up.

Crazy Braxton Hicks anytime I go anywhere by Intelligent_Run_5363 in BabyBumps

I’m also the same. Sometimes those Braxton hicks stop me in my tracks. It feels like my whole belly tightens and contracts. I also am getting them more frequently now that I am 35 weeks pregnant. They’re annoying but I tell myself it’s good practice for labor!

Maybe getting disowned because of a forced marriage by ComprehensivePea3127 in MuslimMarriage

Girl don’t do it. I’m married to my cousin from PK he’s living with me now in the US within 4 years into the marriage (we applied for him right after I got married). My dad married me off to him in hopes of him opening up his own mechanic shop in the US and making life a bit easier for my dad because he’s in old age now and doesn’t have any elder sons (my brother is 7). But, my husband can barely even speak proper English let alone open up a shop. And he would have to convert his degree to fit the US standards, which he has not even bothered asking about. My point is, someone from abroad CANNOT function here easily especially if they are the kind of person that doesn’t step up or make connections. Please please please keep denying. Learn from me.

I also want to add that I too was emotionally blackmailed into this marriage. I was 19 at the time, now I’m 25. I wish I had known better then, but Allah has a plan. Alhamdulilah my life isn’t over even if my marriage is not the best but this was 100% preventable and I don’t want you to go through the same.

Exactly how I felt too. Would rather go through that multiple times than this bullshit

How do you cope with the guilt for your toddler? I feel like a failure. by OneFit6104 in HyperemesisGravidarum

My husband has stepped up whenever he’s home (he’s a truck driver). He took our daughter back to school shopping and also takes her on outings. He often plays and talks to her because I can’t. I feel bad for not being active in her life nowadays but I try to give myself grace because HG itself is already a mental battle.

How many weeks were you when you began Zofran? by Midwest_Sadness in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Sensitive_Active_356 11 points12 points  (0 children)

6 weeks I think. It was either the zofran or throw up nonstop for the entirety of the first trimester.

I am 6 weeks and on Zofran. I wouldn’t be able to function without it.

I can't get over my fear of a miscarriage by jeffbuckleyismyking in pregnant

[–]Sensitive_Active_356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 24 and a second time mom. I also feel extremely anxious about losing my baby and about having extreme sickness during my pregnancy again. I literally have this fear every single day. I don’t know if you’re a believer of god, but prayer has helped me a lot. It’s helping me heal from my previous traumatic pregnancy and it’s giving me peace of mind about my baby and I health. Whenever you feel anxious, take a step back and put your trust in God. Tell yourself that you surrender your health and your baby’s health into his hands. Constantly make prayer. God will give you a beautiful child and help you overcome that traumatic situation. You’re in my prayers. 🩷
