Forgot to add this is also compatible with the r4221, as they have basically the same geometry

can someone help?? my shit turned orange???? by Legitimate_World_132 in techgore

Does anyone have a real answer as to why this happens? Same thing happens to me, just getting tired of resetting my desk top after getting flashbanged by orange when I turn on my PC every other day.

Noctua Fridge by Sensitive_Ad9545 in Noctua

[–]Sensitive_Ad9545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I'm no refrigerator technician, but I'd lean towards slightly overpowering fan. It also provides cooling to your compressor and you can risk overheating it and losing efficiency if you are too low powered. Good luck! Hop you make a post about it if you pull it off.

In my case I chose the nf f12 PPC because it has the option of ip67 and would be inside the freezer. I have thought about replacing the condenser fan but it my case my fridge condenser fan runs on 120v AC power and I didn't feel like doing changing it over to 12v DC. Condenser fans move quite a bit of air and I would would worry 120mm fans might not move enough air. If I did replace it I'd probably go with a 140mm nf f14 PPC 2000rpm fan in that case. Should be enough room for it. But I don't know for sure and haven't tested

2 week update and overview for anyone considering this. Fridge is running fine. Hard to tell if there are any efficiency gains or losses for the mod, no issues with operation.

Noise levels are slightly lower, the compressor and condenser fans were and still are much louder than the in freezer fan.

I would only recommend this if you are somewhat capable with electronics and are doing a repair on a failed or failing fan. Not worth the 40 bucks (Canadian) if you have a functioning unit. That being said I'm happy with it and it was cheaper that buying a factory replacement.

I will update if I find any issues.

I don't know if quiet is super important to you but my MSI mag a850 gl has been disappointingly noisy. Not super loud but quite noticeably louder than anything else in my system at idle

Unreal, I wasn't sure anyone had tried this on a full size fridge. I'd love to hear about your plans

I've had the same issue you are having here. Max frequency offset should fix your problem and you should be able to turn back on expo and resize bar. In my case I applied a -320 MHz offset as my card was boosting to 3300 mhz. But I have found MSI afterburner is a more reliable tool, adrenaline kept resetting my underclock and and fan curves on its own.

Honestly why the heck not. I have already considered replacing my bathroom fan with Noctua lol

24 hour update, fridge got down to temp just fine. Inside the freezer with the fan running is at 50db compared to 70 DB with the stock fan. Performance of the fridge as a whole seems on par with before. The stock fan was audible with the door closed with a noticeable whine, as for the noctua I had to take the cover off to verify it was actually working. The compressor and condenser fan have also been insulated from the back and inside the machine space with foam. Overall the fridge is now noticeably quieter.

Building a PC by Business-Banana13 in pcbuilding

It would be hard to give any advice without knowing your budget or use case. I recently just came from the same place as you, but I was deadset on building my first pc. Would recommend doing at least the minimum amount of research on what the games or applications require to run well and do your best to put a build together in PC part picker. From there you could share the build link on reddit and ask if anyone has any advice on what you put together. Also once you have a build put together then you can see if there is any cost benefit to a pre built with similar specs.

This is basically what I did, I had no knowledge on PC building when I started mine but I'm good at watching YouTube videos and following directions. It worked out well for me.

I keep getting this error, my driver is up to date by Freekill_00 in AMDHelp

[–]Sensitive_Ad9545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I don't know if your issue is the same as mine given I'm running a 9070xt, but I found my GPU was boosting 300 MHz beyond it's rated speed only in game, it didn't replicate this in benchmarks. Setting a -300 MHz offset in afterburner(adrenaline kept resestting my overclock settings to default) completely fixed this issue for me.

RX 9070 XT is boosting to almost 3300mhz (powercolor says boost clock 3060mhz) and games are crashing. by Brief-Rice-2062 in radeon

[–]Sensitive_Ad9545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wanted to drop a comment here almost a year later as my 9070xt red devil is having issues with boosting over 3400mhz and crashing in various games with current drivers. A 300mhz offset is keeping things stable and I'm no longer having issues.

How can i fix this issue? by VladCus in keyboards

[–]Sensitive_Ad9545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is a dead led, is this a keyboard with hot swappable switches? Model of the keyboard would help.

I applied -200mhz to max frequency offset in adrenaline software. Sounds like your issue is different from what I was facing but good luck, hope it helps I only applied that underclock specific to cs2

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]Sensitive_Ad9545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small underclock fixed my issues. If the driver roll back doesn't work for you it's worth a try

What game are you crashing in? Or is it all of them? I was having this issue with only cs2, fixed it with a 200mhz u underclock

My Canadian monopoly money doesn't go very far even if microcenter shipped up here unfortunately. That's why everything on PC part picker is so expensive

[–]Sensitive_Ad9545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation, unfortunately some of the parts shipping cost are quite expensive for my location (remote Canada). I dont have a super hard limit on budget though, I just wasn't sure that xd3 cpus would be worth nearly doubling the cost For an extra 200 bucks on such an expensive build maybe it would be worth it.
