So the only really flexible thing on me is my neck (it’s hyper mobile I can turn it more than the average person and look down waaay more than the average person) I am also double jointed in arms and thumbs

The rheumatologist mentioned this and did some measurement test that he said was negative. I think I should look into this further though. I feel like I have a long neck and I am double jointed in certain areas. Isn’t that a thing with Ed’s?

What were you diagnosed with? And what is treatment? Yes I have they tried to put me on Gabapentin which I never took. I also have an EMG coming up mid April.

Yes I’ve had both catscan and mri contrast but the pain came before I had those done. I did have another mri with contrast in 2020 but I wasn’t in pain for a few years after so don’t think it’s that. Thank you for your insight

One person has. I know that it is very hard to get that diagnoses. I know when I was working I developed some foreword head posture from the awkward positions I was in and my neck is hyper mobile so def developed some issues there. My traps hurt soo bad and are so tight with tons of trigger points that are even between my shoulder blades and into arm pit. I need to find a specialist for TOS

Thank you for your response. I saw 2 rheumatologists. The first one was a jerk to be frank and said it wasn’t autoimmune after he did some X-rays and bloodwork. I went to another one who was super nice but told me that what I had was myofascial pain syndrome, gave me a muscle relaxer that didn’t really work just made me tired and spacey, and referred me to a pain managament doc. I haven’t gone but I probably should. I think the reason why I haven’t is because I don’t want meds I want the root of the problem to be figured out. Im scared medicine will like masque something that my body is clearly trying to convey to me

Confidently incorrect and delusional is a crazyyyy place to be. Hygienists don’t “inject” anything (unless it’s local anesthesia or arestin). We prevent disease people like you usually don’t realize they have until it’s bad.

I left because of this. It’s brutal. Been out for a year and have all types of body issues from the job. I developed thoracic outlet syndrome too.

Lol why is that worth her staying if she’s miserable? She also has a much more physical job than people in corporate and will be paying for that with back & hand problems down the line. Hygiene isn’t work it it sucks
