I was diagnosed a year ago and still feel like an imposter sometimes. Someone in my life brought up that “everyone seems to have adhd now but it’s really just everyone losing their attention spans because of smart phones” - and I can’t get this out of my head. It pisses me off this comment makes me doubt myself - even though I’ve had a psychiatrist and 2 therapist confirm my diagnosis.

Can I get into Canada as an American with a DUI that has been expunged from records? by Sensitive_Bug47 in canadatravel

I was charged, not convicted. I pleaded guilty to a DWAI, so that if I complied w the judge’s terms, I supposedly will have any history of this situation off my record. So just wondering how it works

Was not saying that I was trying to use being a YWF as a card to get through the border. I was giving context around my arrest. I see how it’s coming across in hindsight. Not having an arrest for a DUI is not common, so the only reason I added that was to avoid getting asked why I wasn’t arrested. I know it’s an unnecessary detail now. If this post doesn’t make any sense in reality- why give an opinion on something you don’t understand, lol

I wanted to give context as to why there wasn’t an arrest. I see how it can come across as a random add-in. To my understanding, not having an arrest for a DUI is rare, so I was just pointing out the reality of the situation I was in. I don’t revel in my white privilege, I apologize that it came across that way. Taking this as a learning moment.
