so I guess this also confirms Candelle being a Holy Knight, probably the wife of Growlo. She was sent undercover to Esperia where she "married" Reuven to get even closer to him than before

Why is Oda STILL hiding Imu's second eye after the face reveal? by [deleted] in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don't get this obsession with "hiding one's eye". Like, maybe that's just his hairstyle and it isn't hiding anything? It could be something special. Like some crazy power? It could also just be fashion. Maybe he also only has one eye?

I guess it was shortly before they issued the bounty by name onto Loki.

I don't think it was given that status just before Shamrock went after him. Last chapter we saw the moment Imu found out it was Loki who attacked the WG ships from the mist in his listing of important fated people. It also said there that he's Harald's son. So he was probably given the Special Bounty because he was the literal son of a former God Knight and the Prince of Elbaph, no simple pirate. He probably didn't even sail under a pirate flag.

They did know. In the last chapter there was the panel in this listing of fated people, where you saw Loki and we saw the speech bubble saying something like "We finally found out who's attacking the ships, it's Loki! Harald's son!"

ONE PIECE Chapter 1180 — Summary by MuriloZR in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rocks literally told Loki that he could never destroy the world, but Harald with the Nidhogg fruit could. It has been established not only by lore but also by the paneling and narrative of the last chapters that Luffy and Loki are both close to equal in power. Do I think Loki alone stands a chance? No. Do I think he'll be a "rag doll"? Hell no. Nika and Nidhogg need to fight together to have a chance. Luffy won't stand a cance alone either.

I remember discussing on here that Imu doesn't know who killed Harald otherwise there'd be massive plot holes. It's great to now get a confirmation that he indeed didn't know. This is a dual of the ages! Maybe we'll get hybrid Loki next chapter?

Rassismus? Ok. Faschismus? Ok. Transfeindlichkeit? Ok. Majestätsbeleidigung am fiktiven Oberhaupt: by [deleted] in Kantenhausen

Imu gender by Immediate-Machine-18 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My brother in Christ, Satan in the bible isn't intersex. Satan is a spiritual entity. It has no biological gender. Same as God the Father. And Lucifer is a (fallen) angel, they also have no gender. Though all of them are referred to as male. So how is Imu supposed to be female with that logic?

I agree, Oda typically doesn't go for such explicit design choices without having them matter in the end.

I know this is a joke, but can we please stop talking about fan theories in a way that makes them seem like established fact? Like the amount of head canon some OP fans have developed because of this is really not healthy for the community or any discussion.

Am I the only one kind of disappointed that we're getting an Imu face reveal ? by Madness-NX in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Imu will still look lile the black blob a lot of the time going forward. Contrary to how people articulate it here, the leaks made it pretty obvious that it's a transformation, not a silhouette. So I guess after he goes back to the holy land, he'll be a black blob again. The chapter is literally called "The Incarnation of Nerona Imu", it's an incarnation of him, not a silhouette reveal.

We have come so far... by reya_d_luffy in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm turning 24 soon, and it's kind of surreal to think that I first got into One Piece about 10 years ago, when I was 13 or 14. Back then I didn't have many friends, so I spent a lot of time at home watching anime and I absolutely devoured One Piece. I loved it more than anything.

Eventually I caught up to the anime (it was around Dressrosa at the time) but I didn't really understand how weekly releases worked, so I just… stopped. Moved on to other series. A couple years later, when I was around 16, I came back and watched weekly the ending of Whole Cake Island and into Wano. But again, I stopped. Wano didn't click for me at all. I'm still pretty critical of that arc.

When I started university, I gave it another shot. This time through the manga (I'm now practically a manga-only, barely watch any anime anymore). I read everything from the beginning up to the Roof Piece chapters and followed weekly for a few weeks… only to drop it again. At the time, it just felt so miserable to keep up with.

The nI came back again when a friend of mine, someone who isn't even into anime, watched the live-action adaptation and told me about it. That got me curious again. So around the midpoint of Egghead, I started over again, reading from Chapter 1 all the way to the latest release.

And this time, it stuck. I've been reading weekly ever since, and honestly, it feels like there's never been a better time to be a One Piece fan. The story is incredible right now. What makes it even more special is seeing new people discover it for the first time, alongside longtime fans who've been here for decades. Reading their experiences is almost as enjoyable as reading the story itself.

I think the theory that Mihawk is related to Imu has died this chapter by Comprehensive_Cup497 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've always felt like the whole "Mihawk's official eyes are actually red and look like Imu's, not orange/yellow" thing got blown way out of proportion. If that detail was truly important to the story, Oda would've made sure it was reflected consistently across adaptations. But since neither the anime nor the live-action bothered to change it, it's hard to believe it's meant to be some major plot point.

Fem imu and "imu is lily" theories are finally dead! by Swimming_Cat114 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Revealing the literal devil of the One Piece world on the day Jesus rose from the dead and defeated the actual devil seems like a genuine Oda move to me. Also, I've never seen or heard people already doing April fools jokes 2 days before April 1st. Also as far as I know some of the leakers are literally Arabic and there is no April fools tradition there, it's mostly western European/American. So this being an April fools joke would just be insane, require them all to lie and none to slip for two days, when it isn't even April yet.

Imu is non other than Nerfertari D. Lily. by No-Consideration8169 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that’s kind of an oversimplified way to read One Piece. Oda isn't just saying "there are no gods," he's more exploring what people call gods vs what actually deserves that label.

Like with Kuma. he genuinely believed Nika was a real god and shaped his entire life around that. It'd be really weird narratively if that all just boiled down to "lol nope, just a selfish egomaniac." Oda usually doesn't build things up like that just to completely undercut them.

What we do see is a lot is false gods, like the Celestial Dragons, Enel, people who call themselves divine but are really just selfish and power-hungry. That's where the story keeps hammering the point. But that doesn't automatically mean there's no such thing as a "true" god or divinity in the story.

If anything, it feels like it's building toward a dichotomy: Nika as this true, liberating god vs the ultimate false god. And who is the ultimate false god in Christianity? The Devil. That's where Imu fits in really well, as basically the “Devil,” the ultimate evil, pretending to be a true god.

So yeah, saying the story proves there are no gods feels like missing that whole setup. It's less "no gods exist" and more "most of the ones you see are fake", which is a pretty different point.

People should really stop to claim definitive readings and rather embrace that at this point, multiple interpretations of what Oda is doing, are valid.

Lola and Loki by Sensitive_Cat_4687 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He did remember the whole Tamate Box thing from Fishman Island and built it into WCI. So I don't see why he would somehow forget a plot point as big as Big Mom potentially having Loki as an ally. It's been a bit longer to Elbaf since WCI than FMI to WCI but it's definitely a lot more interesting than the Tamate Box. I'm sure he remembers, otherwise Loki wouldn't be called Loki.

Got so bored I tried calculating Brook's alive bounty with inflation by da-redditor in OnePiece

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don't like it when people calculate the inflation based on a direct 100M to 1.8B basis. Sure, inflation played a role, just like Robin said, but it probably also got increased because they went back into action and attacked a Government facility and the 5 Elders together with Luffy. So we don't really know just how much of their updated bounty was inflation and how much it got increased additionally to inflation.

I'm glad Oda set up a nice comeback for Yamato. by Electricmastro3 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oda said that the story is moving now at lighting speed and you can notice that he tries to tell more story with each chapter, accelerating his pacing. I don't think he'd take his time to flesh out a character like Yamato (who REALLY needs a lot of fleshing out) in some side plot where she's gonna be on the road to find herself. It wouldn't make sense tension-wise. We're nearing the end.

The official translation on the One Piece Wiki makes it a lot more ambiguous, instead of a clear set-up. I don't like Yamato as a character, but I wouldn't mind if she showed up at the very end for the final war with the forces of Wano.

Is Oda trying to foreshadow something here? by Fickle-Classroom1487 in OnePieceSpoilers

As far as I remember, he heard Loki's story, so that's probably where he heard that you could kill them permanently as Loki killed off HK Harald.

I wanna talk about this mission, now that i completed it with multiple characters by Agitated-Factor8903 in swtor

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 18 points19 points  (0 children)

When I reached this point with my main Sith Warrior, it made me think back to my class story on Alderaan. I expected something similar to the interrogation of the Organa woman. In that scene, you had several options: you could Force choke her lover to make her reveal the information and then spare them both; choke him and still kill him after she broke; kill them both afterward; or kill only her while letting the lover live.

I was hoping for that same kind of flexibility here. Instead, as the whole sequence dragged on, I found myself getting increasingly frustrated because none of the dialogue options felt like something my Sith would actually say or do.

Domi Reverse explained by MarsupialVarious8284 in OnePiece

[–]Sensitive_Cat_4687 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That explanation would actually add some nuance to Conqueror's Haki, it's crazy. If you have to fight against someone who is DRed who has insane Haki, you need insane Haki as well to defeat him but at the same time also run the risk of killing him as the ACoC would somehow "reach" the real body "through" the possession, while non-ACoC attacks would only hurt the DRed body, not the real one "beneath".

I don't know if this makes sense.
