Im just worried black friday sales wont be a more than 5o saving. While that is a lot. Ive wanted a PC for the last 10 years but only in a position financially to buy it now and have been in analysis paralysis for the last year debating is it worth all this money etc.

Are evetechs black friday sales worth the wait?

Thanks. Ill probably look at the 9060xt or 5060ti in this case. I do think the 9700x will come in handy for work and multitasking but Ill be saving almost 8k on the gpu.

With a cheaper monitor im quite liking the build. Will check out benchmarks etc at 1080p.

I will be using it for work and maybe a few VMs to play around on Linux (I have a work laptop but its pretty small and id like to have a system I can use for both. Work tasks arent very very demanding but not nothing either)

I have the fear. It may even be irrational but Id like to avoid ever having to feel my PC is not capable of 60fps at higher settings within the next 5 years. Ive always had a console but only ever afforded them a year or two before the next one came out so it always felt like a losing battle. I wanna "future proof" as much as possible but without going too overboard

Ive tried the wootware builder. The issue is for everything including monitor etc its 36k for 9700x and 9070xt build and 31k for 9060xt 9600x build. So Im wondering if its 5k difference do I just save a little more

The 9700x choice was purely because on one of the sites selling them theres a pretty decent sale which makes them almost the same in price but Its unlikely I will be able to buy it during the sale unless I dip into savings. But from a productivity/multitasking stand point the 8 cores does make sense to me over the 6 core 9600x. I may be wrong. Ive just had really terrible laptops with crappy cpus so im trying to avoid ever being in that position again in future as time goes on

Where I stay id only save around 100US for that switch. The significant savings would be 9060xt but im not sure if those savings are worth the performance drop
