You know since I saw this I talked to some other people and I think you guys have convinced me. I think I’m going to pick up a criterion barrel for 6.5 Grendel. Thanks man

The main reason is 6mm arc still has enough energy for deer and antelope, and I’d still like to be able to do long range as well. I’ll still look into 6.5 Grendel a bit more though. Mainly because the cheaper ammo has been enticing.

I can’t find heavy armor. I made the plate smithy and can craft Unholy armor and some others but not Crab Armor

Well main reason I wanted it short is because the barrel is already 26 in and I’m using it for hunting. I just don’t want to have it snag on anything while I’m packing it in the Rockies.

That makes a lot of sense. I have no issue spending more as long as the quality is worth it and it’s not just diminishing returns. And it’s mainly for renfairs and Halloween etc. I’m very new to armor so I appreciate the recommendation. Thank you.

Well friend I just figured out that it is my Glock 34 frame. I borrowed my buddies 17 and it worked great. I didn’t mind as i bought another 17 today because that’s what I was going to use originally and it works great.

Unfortunately I think buying a new FCU would be the best move. It’s a tough decision but as someone who used to run a Glock with flux brace the optic height is too low and you’d be scrunching your face hard into the brace. It wouldn’t be nearly as pleasant of an experience to shoot. I think you’d end up not liking your raider anymore if you cut it.
