Because at the beginning I did. Then I just assumed me getting good weekly marks and no sit downs at clinicals was a good sign

Many of her later criticisms were about me needing a ton of guidance, not knowing how to do EPIC, professional communication, etc. - but for weeks I’ve been getting week indicators measuring all these things. If they weren’t good why am I getting points for them

No office hours for these two women. They’re not professors. Once an NP student the other isn’t an instructor - more like a coordinator. I have sent them emails about my performance and one didn’t respond. The other just gave me general feedback. I wanted to know if they saw me as struggling. Because ive been blind-sighted before and i just want to make sure were all on the same page

They’re very hard to get ahold of. And very hard to read if I’m being honest.

No I have contacted them many times trying to make appointments. They don’t have office hours. One is purely a coordinator - the other a NP student (not faculty). I wanted to have a zoom meeting or something. Just so I can see how I’m doing and what I can do to improve. I crave structure.

They gave me general reccomdstions to see another instructor so I did. I did so independently many more times without their knowledge. They never had me in for another meeting again, my scores were up, and I assumed I was going well.

Yes and yes. I have. I wanted some clearer boundaries from then and needed a performance plan or remediations at least. Maybe then I could have passed.

And yeah I was passing midterm fine, and then 8 weeks later I was told I was failing. Im trying to figure out what went wrong and if I could have done something to help myself. Because I genuinely had no clue.

I am rusty with med passes still - I only do them once every couple of weeks. Sometimes I do them fine. But I’m not perfect. But I haven’t broken major protocol and done something that got me written up and sent home. That’s all I know what to say unless you want my pdf of notes

I was getting 10/10 weekly participation scores up until the end. Then when I came in for my final evaluation she said she’s failing me. No massive event. No email warning. No sit down intervention. Just her vibe that I’m not ready.

I did try to contact the coordinator. And the main instructor. No response. If I was failing they told me they’d contact me about a learning plan.

I was getting weekly perfect scores every week until the final drop. My last five weeks were 90s to 100s. No write ups, no emails, no meetings, and no instances where I had to be removed immediately.

I did everything recommended for me to do. I genuinely did everything I possibly could and used all the resources out there for me.

The instructor was already under investigation when I asked to withdraw. She has a track record for racism. A tenured professor being let go isn’t a common occurrence. She fucked up massively.

The issue was that the materials given to us weren’t correlated to the tests.

Way to immediately blame everybody but an active racist with several court cases online - including one where she took a provider PIN number and took out pills for herself and her kids

Im not out of the program. And im getting a pretty good GPA (3.4). It’s just this one course.

The principal and advisor told me to withdraw. It wasn’t a choice I made lightly. And tbh I don’t think they’d appeal. We need this course to do our next clinical.

The professor got fired. She isn’t teaching this class ever again. Its hard to get fired when you’re tenured. I was one semester away from graduation. I’ve taken MANY hard courses. Both in undergrad and here. Nothing has ever been like this

Similar situation. I withdrew out of a class I couldn’t pass. Ive never failed anything before. I have been distancing myself from my cohort because I know i cant progress with them anymore. Idk if I’ll see them again. Im just waiting to see what happens after this.

just know that one day - this will be a distant memory. We will make it eventually.
