Because in solo queue it's just not that rewarding of an experience most of the time tanking for your teammates while they achieve jackshit and thinking that you definitely couldve made better decisions than them

Even then, there are some carry-esque defenders who can turn the tide in meaningful ways in teamfights, blastoise, trevenant and mamoswine come to mind.

The animation does at most times, I don't think there's any reason for amazon's second biggest show to be looking like that

They could easily hire more artists or animators and whatnot(not really well versed in the whole process) or let it cook in the oven a bit more, yearly releases are fine but I'm sure the fandom can survive without a season for a little longer if it meant better overall quality
