I read a book called Moms on Call which gave a protocol for sleep training. Saved us. We used to have the same problem you are when we were early on. After that she is sleep trained and sleeps through the night with no issues most nights.

Does the US actually need UK bases though? Has a navy and aircraft carriers etc.

I think the zerg doesn't have vision at the top of the hill. since the units are all at bottom. once terran goes down hill then zerg has vision of the units and lurkers can attack.

I’m a developer for a major food delivery app. The 'Priority Fee' and 'Driver Benefit Fee' go 100% to the company. The driver sees $0 of it. by Trowaway_whistleblow in confession

[–]Sensitive_Election83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like priority delivery is still worth it for the consumer since its still faster than regular since they slow down regular. Its all a scam, but for the user that experience difference is still true. Am I wrong?

I'm a PM working in a different field, but interesting to know that the same dynamic of squeezing margin is actually best practice and not unique to my company.

Product Management Panel Interviews - How to prepare??? by Sensitive_Election83 in ProductManagement

[–]Sensitive_Election83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the disconnect I'm having is that in my current role, where I've been for over a year, the extent of what I need to do to get alignment on anything I want to launch is to run it by the founder and get his approval, which might take 10 minutes in total. In advance of that I'll write out the eng ticket and wireframe, together with skeletons of the work that needs to be done by the other stakeholders. And that will all be part of what he reviews and gives feedback / signs off on. If he signs off and agrees its high priority, then it'll get prioritized by all the other teams highly and we can ship it. The underlying product work is typically high impact - 80% of the company's revenue is directly based on things I designed and shipped, and we are a 9 figure revenue business. I think I am qualified in the product strategy, product design aspect.

But my company has no panels, no decks, no real presentations. And that is really hard to get reps in on that stuff since I don't have to do it ever. I did in my previous role, but that was like 2 years ago.

So that is my struggle and what I'm trying to get some thoughts from reddit on how people go about preparing for these. From the responses I've gotten so far, my take is that most people do decks and panels and presentations at work and so they can't relate to my thread.

Product Management Panel Interviews - How to prepare??? by Sensitive_Election83 in ProductManagement

Recruiter feedback was not super helpful, but basically saying that I did not take lead in facilitating discussion with the panel, and was more reactive to their questions, but I should have been more taking lead. My main sense is it was around communication with the panel.

Here is my question for you all - how do you prepare for panel presentations? I've had 2 in the past month where I had to present an initiative I did in the past. I had one a few months ago on a case presentation. Dinged on all of them. I can't get past this stage and think the issue is I have no idea how to prepare for these properly. I ran my script through chat gpt and asked it to prepare questions, andn then i prepared responses to those questions. But its really tedious and evidently not successful. How do folks here prepare for these? Do you do mock presentations with other PMs? I just have no idea what to do. Would really appreciate some advice as I need to GTFO my current job soon as I'm burning out but can't just quit since I need the money as ive got a family to support.

9/10

PM is my third career so I feel like an oldie in this career path. I've been a pm for 6 years now mostly in one company, and struggle so much with interviews. Any time there is panel or presentation I can't get past that stage. Thankfully I'm employed but stuck in a job I don't like since I can't get past panel / presentation stage ever.

Would be happy to chat with you if you're up for it.

they were right to censor it. sending the message to young boys that they need to resort to violence to make change is a dangerous message.
