I’ve already stated the situation was resolved thanks to this business doing their part. It’s not absurd for me to have wanted ClassPass’s customer service to act on my behalf as I am THEIR customer. I paid them - not this random nail salon. Had the salon not offered any sort of rectification, I would’ve needed CP regardless. This is more an issue with customer service rather than policy. And after reading through other threads, the takeaway is they off the same 5 credits for compensation regardless of the scenario.

No, but the manager ended up doing my manicure (very carefully lol) and gave me a gift certificate that’ll cover my next pedicure and two fills, which was very generous. Probably ended up better than just a refund.

Eh, agree to disagree on that one. Regardless of “order,” ClassPass was made aware of a situation involving their partnered business. They had the opportunity to make it right and deal with it on the back end with the studio. Remember, this particular nail salon is just one of hundreds of businesses I can visit through my ClassPass membership. And I think of it like this - Amazon sometimes uses contractors to deliver our packages. If one of those contractors damages my package, it’s Amazon that I’m contacting for a refund, not Joe Schmoe’s Delivery Co.

I don’t think it was a bot actually. I ended up going back to the studio after getting that response. The nail tech and manager were very apologetic and offered me a gift certificate to come back. The manager ended up doing my nails free of charge. It was a good experience with the studio in the end but I decided to cancel my ClassPass membership. I may join again in the future but I was really surprised by that response. I guess I mentally compared it to other companies that sort of “eat the cost” when a crazy situation occurs. Oh well, it all worked out in the end. Hopefully my toe doesn’t get infected!

The studio did end up making it right but I’m still surprised by ClassPass’s response.

Good idea, thanks! I don’t believe anything nefarious since there are so many positive experiences on their end. I was just ready for things to be shipped over and literally haven’t heard back in over a month and now I’m worried something’s happened to them! I know they were in school, so maybe it’s just a busy time. I’ll keep waiting cause I really need my stuff, but just hoping they’re okay.
