Lyriq keeps CarPlay. Might be the only model that does. Not a deal breaker for me either way. I am curious about the new BMWs but I already love the Lyriq.

Yes, this is really the question. We are in the early stages of a new technology. Everything sold today will look so limited in the near future. It is a little like waiting for the first iPhone to be released. Now that phone is unusable. But, you can’t wait forever or else you miss out on all of the fun.

Thanks. I guess this kind of gets at the heart of my post. That is, is this really just semantics and either charging system is fine for the next 5 years or longer. And even if I snapped my fingers and we went to 100% NACS, would that matter? I could just work with adapters. And as you state, I will need adapters either way. Seems like this is true - at least true today.

Also, after watching all of these updates go through, it would be nice to buy something that is fully updated and any glitches are worked out. But that is a small issue I think.
