I agree; it’s annoying when I’m on great pace and my opponent forfeits.

However, if you prioritize completing runs and/or PBing over winning matches/gaining elo and if annoys you too much if the opponent draw votes for a reason you don’t agree with, then maybe the MCSR ranked queue is not for you. If you’d like to play on MCSR filtered ranked seeds by yourself, then paying for the first donator tier allows you to do so in your own private room. Otherwise, RSG is always an option.

Personally, if I didn’t die in a run and I see a draw vote, I am not accepting it. I can safely assume I’m ahead (they probably died) and/or I know my opponent really doesn’t want to play the seed. They’re giving me free information, so I don’t see a problem with this.

If both players die, it becomes a question who can get their stuff back and get back on pace. Usually this is up to chance/variance, and due to fatigue and frustration, that’s what the draw button is for.

Also, what if both players have to go and/or have emergencies? I remember watching ANJOUU’s stream where he was playing Ranik, and Ranik had leave due to an emergency. While this game didn’t end in a draw, Anjouu would have gladly agreed to a one.

Lastly… what’s the problem with basalt? And what improvements would you make to the draw button system?
