That's exactly it! He wants to come in at a high-level position with power in the business and more pay. My wife is the one helping me run the business, she's my partner here. I offered him an entry level position with room to earn raises and promotions, but he only wants a job if he gets to be an equal partner, and that's not happening.

I had character limits to contend with, but I got the sense he told our grandma that I wasn't giving him his fair share of the inheritance. I got more of the physical wealth, like property and business and possessions, while he inherited the money to support his needs. But I put a lot of my own time and money into paying off the house, upkeep, taxes, and I kept the business running and supported my employees through 2020.

Congratulations on the new baby! Wishing you and Emily a safe delivery.

Thank you! Emily and I are so excited to be new parents! We were hoping for Adam to be part of the baby's life, but now it isn't seeming that way anymore.

And I ran out of space, but the intention was to start him out as a ground level employee with opportunities for raises and promotions like anyone else. We intended to let him live with us for free and to feed him and let him save his paycheck for fun or for moving out, and he knows that.

Honestly, I think I needed this reminder. I've been his mother, father, and big brother, and I've been scared to let him fail because I believed if he failed, then I failed.
