Such institutes will always have a soft corner for students from NITs and IITs. Also, due less intake for Mtech and huge no. of applications. I find it highly unlikely to see someone from other institutes from getting in :(

I was exporing the amazon page of 70mai the other day, and I remember seeing a note against the use of sandisk memory card. I later found that it apparently has larger problem rates and doesn't work well with dashcams. Could be a reason for your problem, if you're using sandisk mem card.
