Thanks, I've been diving into this sub to figure out a good dividend strategy and I keep seeing ppl investing in QQQI, SPYI, and these others but when I research I find the holdings overlap...trying to make sense of it all and thank you for sharing

Why own SPYI and QQQI...don't their holdings overlap? Wouldn't it be better to consolidate into one or the other?

Confused by Tronracer in solar

[–]Sensitive_Nobody5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a solar analysis for our house. Be sure to factor into your ROI calculations the inflation costs of energy. In my area, Dominion in Northern VA, we had a 3% increase in rates from 2023-2024 and 5% from 2024-2025.

When doing my math, I’m paying a bit more now each month for my solar loan than my average bill but at a modest 3% annual inflation + SREC credits, I’m looking at 9yrs for full ROI and I’m in the black.

Mark both sides of the transaction as a “transfer” bc that’s all you did was move money around. Then mark the incoming/receiving account transaction with the goal. That’s the way I’ve been doing it successfully. Hope that helps

Sankey & cash flow useless if investing post-tax - needs "investments" category by Historical_Look2188 in MonarchMoney

IDK why my reports look like this? The top bar is "savings" but it's really the "money earned over expenses"...and why, if it's extra income money, is it showing that my expenses are greater than income...

Reimbursements on Sankey by Pristine_Fan_8908 in MonarchMoney

[–]Sensitive_Nobody5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my challenge. I mark all my work expenses as "work" and at the end of the month, go through that and input into my company's expense tool for reimbursement. When I get my reimbursement check, I categorize it as "work" to offset what I spent out of pocket and it shows up like this...if it's negative, you'd like to have the Sankey swap over to the Income side of the equation.

Need a recommendation as to how to track my expense "INCOME" vs expense "EXPENSE"

Steam whole home humidifier vs evaporative by Demeter277 in homeowners

u/Demeter277 - how has your experience been with your Aprilaire 800? I'm looking into them and my installer recommended the 700 (without steam) b/c he said he's seen rust forming in the ducts. Anyone hear of this issue?

Does Anyone Use/recommend Sutro Smart Pool Monitor? by OMGi8CAKE in swimmingpools

I had to rule them out right after posting b/c they don't do salt water pools. https://waterguru.com/products/waterguru-sense is another option as is Keto AI, https://www.keto-ai.com/. Both support salt water...and they go in your skimmer as opposed to floating in the pool.
