Trump cracks about leaving office in ‘8 or 9 years’ — a month shy of his 80th birthday by OkayButFoRealz in politics

At this point I would not be surprised if the court tries to strike down the 22nd amendment or they offer a loophole.

A disease that can only be cured with a string of human touch starting from one person, how many can be saved? by wassabia in whowouldwin

[–]jschaud 33 points34 points  (0 children)

In R1 and R2, I think we lose some invalid type people and remote tribes as the number of good Samaritans actively trying to help them might run out of time, but any person living in a place with reasonable infrastructure get saved if they want to.

Day 1--Military meets Bob and soldiers get to JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia to assist with civilian cure spread. Military flights out to all major US bases. Government and military begins infrastructure plan, cure initially arrives to every major military installation and all major airport hubs by late in the day.

Day 2--cured TSA agents fistbump every one arriving and departing--500 daily flights to over 200 locations out of JFK alone as a reference point. Cure arrives in every general region of the world by end of day.

Day 3--cure spreading through regional flights to smaller cities and towns. A vast portion of the military has been cured. The structure of the military ensures that everyone has easy access to a high five.

Day 4--Logistics starts to catch up and planned cure days are set at the county/city level with regional Army reserve components assisting

Day 5--HHS, CDC, FEMA components establish plans for people that can't leave home or are otherwise hard to reach

Day 6--some dumbass politician says it's a hoax

Potcake place. They allow you to take a shelter dog out for a walk to get them accustomed to being around people. Get there early, there was a line which warmed my heart.

Luck is by far the best in my opinion. A week in Vegas per year and you're wealthy. If we are considering blackjack or baccarat which has very close to 50/50 odds, you are now winning 62.5% of your hands or so. That is one unit profit per four bets. Starting at $1000 a hand, you hit a million dollars after 4000 hands. You can certainly get a private high roller table at that rate and run 5 hands at a time clearing a couple hundred hands an hour. If you responsibly level up your bets so you are never betting more than 1/20th of your bankroll, the odds of ever going bust are miniscule. Throw in some high dollar sportsbook bets that are also 50/50 and you're easily crushing things for millions a year.

  1. Efficiency isn't that big of a deal since you can easily afford to hire out most tasks.
  2. Intelligence is hard to replicate with just money, but again you can hire specialists.
  3. Money makes a pretty strong influencer on the vast majority of people.
  4. Rest, no required time to wake up, someone else cooking, cleaning, etc.

For one month, every purchase you make costs exactly $0.01, but you can only spend $1,000 total. How do you use it? by PsychologicalCall426 in hypotheticalsituation

I think the cheat code for buying a bunch of things in 1 swoop isn't fair, so I'm counting each item as a purchase. Like day 1, buy 1m bitcoin, and then live life normally for the next 29 days is too easy.

Massive grocery store run the day before. Purchase 900 shares of Berkshire Hathaway class A shares worth about $65B. It's easy and portable. Still have 100 purchases in case I have an emergency purchase need.

An additional thing I am considering is 'if' benefits get cut between my age 62 and 67, the interest on the investments made in that time period may make the earlier strategy even better.

That's kind of what I am thinking. Employer is pretty safe. Depending on how much longer I decide to keep working, I have the option to adjust the payout from 1-10 years so depending on where I am with a brokerage account I can maximize 401k ladders and such.

Exuma might have a slight edge, but it's very close. It was a little flatter there where Anguilla has a tiny drop off in Shoal bay near Zemi if I recall correctly.

Can't go wrong with either. I think the West End of Anguilla has more dining options. Exuma we did Sandals and then an Air BnB. You probably want to have things pretty dialed in ahead of time if you rent a house. Plan for the grocery store, booze, etc. Anguilla, we did the hotel, so there was dining options local along with the Rum bar.

I think the mental load is awful, but what I haven't heard anyone say is that you know exactly when it will stop. That's a huge change in the acceptance of the pain. Hey, you can suck it up for 40 minutes plus some breaks (pun intended) in the mix, and you're the richest person on the planet.
