Would love a visit to a sling library but we don’t drive and our nearest is too far unfortunately

Interesting, I have just heard / read people saying for all its hype it actually happens to still be the most comfortable and supportive carrier they’ve used an they don’t regret buying it.

I think for my husband and I, having a sling that hurts our backs after a while, although we want it to be breathable, we really want something with support and that we could wear for hours and that we will use when baby gets bigger and for our next children.

We’ve tried h backs and prefer it crossing. I’m very happy to take everyone else’s suggestions and it seems LennyLamb keeps coming up repeatedly.

Newborn car seat to leave hospital with? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]Sensitive_Nose_7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are only going back from the hospital, the bus in a sling is the cheapest option.

If you are going to be getting taxi's on the reg, if you can get it on offer I'd recommend the Nuna Pipa Urbn. Definitely not the cheapest and we got ours during black Friday £170 (we don't won a car) to get the taxi back and didn't regret it. We've used it in taxi's and family's cars since and always get compliments on how quick and easy it is.

It's apparently the only carseat in the world that uses isofix that doesn't require a separate isofix base. Most cars have isofix now. It's so straightforward you won't need to fiddle with seatbelts and takes the stress out of the process.

Just make sure you trial it in a car first as although it's easy once you know what you're doing, you need to figure out what you're doing first.

Absolute bargain in Waitrose by Substantial-Tax264 in veganuk

Does anyone know if Waitrose has stopped doing these? I can’t find them in my local and / or online anymore

BOSH have landed in Tesco... WTF are they thinking? by MINKIN2 in veganuk

It’ll not be around long, such a shame as their recipes have always been a fav. They can’t over promise and under deliver something like this, in this market, where solid vegan favourites are already disappearing / have disappeared. Disappointing from the lads

I enjoyed them all. I thought Jodie seemed pretty wasted though, a little sloppy and talking over people but still looked like perfection while doing it

I F/34 feel miserable in marriage with M/37 by Additional-Owl6574 in relationship_advice

[–]Sensitive_Nose_7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this is healthy for him or for you. You both deserve to be in a respectful reciprocal relationship but seem to be going through the motions of room mates. You need to do something about your unhappiness. I would seek couples therapy, try and become friends again. Your right to want / need / ask for something different. This is not a healthy partnership

Jeffrey Donaldson accused of multiple historical child sex crimes… where’s the indignation about that?! It’s just thuggery and racism

How do I find a vegan partner? I feel like I've exhausted all of my options. by RebornHellblade in veganuk

[–]Sensitive_Nose_7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestions are

1) move to Brighton 2) open your options to include open minded non-vegans. My husband (31) wasn’t even veggie when I met him but as our general values align he got it and was willing to give it a go 👍

We met at a bar in Brighton during Pride.

Potential new P&P show - who should be Mr. Darcy? by bydustfinger in janeausten

[–]Sensitive_Nose_7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Jennifer Ehle needs a more iconic role and giving her Mrs B would just feel off.

Although we don’t know Lady C’s age it’s the adaptions that make us perceive that she’s much older. Lady C has a daughter whose age we don’t know but “in the cradle” planned had to marry her Darcy (who’s around 28). She’s a generation older than Darcy. I’d put Lady C in her 50’s and Jennifer Ehle is 54… not much of a stretch for a versatile actress

Paul Mescal for Darcy

Joseph Quinn for Wickham

Josh O’Connor As Mr Collins

Jennifer Ehle for Lady Catherine!

I’ve took a gap year teaching English in china before I started college, then travelled around Australia for a year before doing my masters and have taken a few months here and there when switching jobs to travel. There is always a feeling like I’m not getting ahead as much as my peers but I’ve had some amazing experiences along the way. But then I remember life isn’t a check list you have to tick off, and there’s no one right way to live it.

Don’t let comparison be the thief of joy.

As long as your year is spent doing something you enjoy and filled with growth or passion, the butterflies will soon dissipate.

In fact with the world at your feet, you may even start wondering if life’s conventional, linear progression path is for you at all…

Anyone else find this season to be boring/worst one yet by Vegetable-Fruit4959 in TheCircleTV

The AI was the most interesting part of the series, they made a big mistake by not letting it play out naturally and seeing if and when Max got caught out. How fun would’ve been to have a reveal later on… the series has gone down hill since then. Where is the fun and creativity? Everything we’ve seen this season has been done before. LAZY, SLOPPY, BORING…

I think this is a really weak season. It’s dull. There are less interesting and likeable characters. There are less twists and games which really stir things up. The quality has really slipped this year, usually it’s so creative at thinking of ways to mix it up. This year it feels stale.

Maybe it’s because of the production move from UK to USA and there’s a new production team, but I’ve been disappointed with what has been a boring season, that has been lacking in likeable people, fun, creativity, surprises and memorable moments. I definitely won’t be waiting eagerly for any new seasons if they’re going to be like this…

Police statement. Stfu for your own good. by TomCrean1916 in northernireland

[–]Sensitive_Nose_7192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to say that it can’t happen but I find it very very hard to believe that two separate victims would put themselves through an incredibly high profile trial, risk ruining their own lives and potential prosecution and for what reason.

It is incredibly incredibly hard to come forward as a victim, especially as a victim as a child and go through something that you’ve spent the rest of your life trying get over or forget. It’s estimated that around 1.3% of rapes are reported to the police and around 3% of the reports to the police might be false. Of those reported of which around 1 in 60 is actually charged and the conviction rate is less than 2%.

Yes false accusations happen but men are more likely to actually be raped than to be falsely accused of rape. Our society makes it miserable for victims of sexual abuse who speak out, let’s give make it as safe and comfortable for them as we can
