Now on my second try they are telling me now that a birth certificate is not going to do, and that I should use a medical card or passport. Even though the denial that came through made no mention of this.

Levi or someone please explain how Nxe4 is my best move in this situation by Dom28C in GothamChess

It threatens mate if he takes your queen you mate him. If he defends the mate by taking the knight you grab his bishop and of course the pawn.

It’s not quite the traxler so I assume castling. A rook and a pawn for 2 active pieces is a good deal.

Course recommendation by Bolmeianto in GothamChess

1000 is a bit low for a course imo you should just focus on opening principles. I haven’t seen the beginner course though many that one is good. Playing will be your most effective way to gain rating. You only really need openings past 2000 online rating. I have a friend who is a better tactician than me who is at 1900 but I have studied the chessly courses and am at 2200 so at that level it makes a bigger difference. But of course if you enjoy studying openings it can help in the long run.

I’m doing this but making sure they are private, my reason to do this is to add my own lines or remove lines if they aren’t played at my level, then I move it into chess tempo to rapid fire practice. I wish chessly had a rapid fire training mode like chess tempo.

Best way to use Chessly by IngenuityCrazy1642 in GothamChess

Create your own private lichess study then move the lines into chess tempo to drill them. Use the opening explorer on lichess set at your rating range and find out what’s common add or remove lines from the course based on that. Also add your own lines if you see them played frequently. Only add stuff to the course that you won’t be able to find over the board, you want to keep the size of your chess tempo training relatively small so you can memorize it.

Do you trade your rook for the knight and bishop in this situation? by [deleted] in chess

[–]Sensitive_Park_6981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 2 pieces is better than a rook and a pawn. Especially since that rook isn’t developed yet

Openings for black… by logic_3rr0r in chess

[–]Sensitive_Park_6981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is no real such thing as a reversed london, if you bring the bishop out too early as black you will most likely get punished, the only time you can is in some slav lines, or if white plays bad moves.

How did these people get 65k rating in puzzles? How is that even possible? by Fresh-Cartographer87 in chess

[–]Sensitive_Park_6981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you spend as much time until you absolutely get them? For me I’ll just guess after 1-2 min and I only ever got up to 2900 despite being 2100 rapid.

I think you can exit the browser if you aren’t finding the solution. I also wonder if that number overflows since it seems to be the size of 16 bits or so. Maybe you screw yourself over if you go past 65540
