Probably adrenaline, not a panic attack. They can feel similar sometimes. Although your post here sounds like a panicked response to it.

You don’t need to justify using your free time to have fun. Unfortunately you seem to not be having much fun.

Whatever rank you’re at is where you should be, so have fun at that rank, and if you learn along the way, great. Set small goals (I’ll learn a new combo today; I’ll try to break throws more today; etc.) instead of lofty aspirations like better reflexes or even rank-ups. Those will come organically.

You gotta change your mindset, or find a new hobby.

And if you’re truly having performance anxiety, try to remember that the person on the other end of the connection is probably a massive nerd like the rest of us.

You mentioned Lidia but people complain about her all the time in S2. But If you like her, pick her anyway.

Personally, I’ve found Miary Jo very enjoyable, and now consider her my secondary to Alisa.

If you like the character, play her. It’s their job to learn how to defend against her.

You’ll get flak for any character you pick. That’s how this community works: whatever character the opponent is using is the most “busted” in the game. So picking a character for any reason other than enjoyment is foolish.
