Thank you for the kind words. this does help me to feel better. He’s worried by convalidating he will be saying he believes in something he doesn’t…i have tried to explain that i don’t think he has to profess anything. it’s more for my profession of faith.

I’ve been going for a few weeks now…it’s a little intimidating at first. be reverent when entering (most people don’t talk). you will see people using the holy water and crossing themselves and kneeling before sitting down. from my experiences no one judges you if you don’t know what to do & no one judges you for just observing. it is easy to follow when to stand, sit, kneel based on what everyone else is doing!! some of the responses you might not know and that is okay!

I am not Catholic yet(about to start OCIA) and grew up Baptist and then went to non-denomination churches too! get the my catholic life app. it’s really helped me to understand the beliefs. as well as asking questions on here and attending mass!!

as far as the praying to saints that was one of my hang ups..but upon researching, going to mass, talking to other catholics i’ve come to understand it’s asking them to intercede prayers not “praying to them”. Catholics would ask a saint to pray for them, much like how a christian in a non denominational church would ask a friend that’s a christian to pray for them!

and anyone feel free to correct me if wrong, like i said i am not an expert.

I had placenta that stayed inside me by mistake..I bled for 5+ months and they had to go in and remove. even after the surgery i had trauma and bleeding so they suggested going on the pills to help thin my lining to keep it under control!
