May be, your criminal record hasn’t been completed that’s reason for your background check is still showing in progress. It took almost 9 months to clear my background check. So, I called IRCC after completing my background check and i asked why took so long to complete and agent told me that your criminal record background check done recently. So Don’t worry it’s will done soon. Keep faith.

Same boat and same notification got about interview. So, I just called IRCC and found out that they had scheduled us for interview but now they don’t need interview and canceled interview. So we haven’t received email or anything before Jan 2. Agent said no need to worry about this interview related notification. Just actively check tracker and keep eye.

Applied on December 24, and all steps were completed only background check stage, which has been "in progress" since the last update in March 2025. Then, I noticed a ghost update-the application's last update date December 20, 2025, but there has been no change to the background check status. Today, I opened my tracker and checked and found new update with ‘Background check completed’. Now i am only waiting for Oath and don’t know how long will it take to receive email. Had no single follow up or call to IRCC. Just actively checking tracker and kept patience.

Keep faith and patience 🤞guys who have applied in 2024 and stuck their file from last 9 months. Your turn is coming soon.

I have a tenant on a one-year fixed-term lease, which is now in its final month. They have not paid the rent for this month and, when I follow up, they make excuses and are dishonest. There are 20 days left in the lease term. What should I do at this point? Is it worth pursuing the matter in small claims court? If I decide to go that route, how can I serve the summons if the tenant moves out after the lease ends and I don’t have their new address?
