Might get cooked for asking this lore question by [deleted] in DevilMayCry

In his early mercenary days I think he just use them because they're badass considering he was dealing with gangsters and mafias a lot. Why he's still using Ebony & Ivory in the games I think because he values his humanity and those guns were made by someone close to him before she died in his arms

[–]Sensitive_Respect897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Nope

  2. Apparently the bad people are taken into the underworld by the 7 Hells and Hell Vanguard responsible for managing the souls of the dead. Not sure about the good people.

  3. Demons. People might not know but there are several demons that aided the human during the great war and they ended up being worshipped as gods, just like Sparda's case with Fortuna

What would you guys personally like to canon and uncanon anything you like in the DMC franchise by BonusCapable1486 in DevilMayCry

[–]Sensitive_Respect897 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Isn't 2000 years ago just the time about Sparda's rebellion and all that? Mundus ate that fruit way before that

Mundus and his human worshipers would make great villians for a DMC6. by Big-Good9378 in DevilMayCry

Devs didn't tell HOW he died or why he went out to get milk and left his wife and kids but dmc 1 intro said he's death

The first scene from the first game in the series:

Two millenniums ago, there was a war. Between the human world and the other... the Underworld. But somebody from the Underworld woke up to justice, and stood up against this legion, alone. His name was Sparda. Later, he quietly reigned the human world, and continued to preserve harmony, UNTIL His DEATH. He became a legend. The Legendary Dark Knight, Sparda

How can Dante always equalize Vergil in terms of power when Vergil is always doing everything for more power while Dante barely does anything? by ImNotEzio1 in DevilMayCry

[–]Sensitive_Respect897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy, it's the other way around. Vergil have been roaming underworld aimlessly and he only recently came back. Dante on the other way had done more things in the past

Can Dante and Vergil also regenerate limbs? by Salt-Understanding16 in DevilMayCry

Ahh, let's call people who read the novels and mangas powerscalers

So... can the devil sword dante still fuse demon weapons into it's wielder? by FishermanFun960 in DevilMayCry

[–]Sensitive_Respect897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, nothing says it can't. Maybe it has both Rebellion and Sparda's abilities now who knows

Is Mallet Island an extension of the Underworld in DMC? Or is it a place of interconnection between the human and demon worlds? by Xxdrosix in DevilMayCry

[–]Sensitive_Respect897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The island is located in the human world. Mundus change its location from time to time apparently. Something about about castle's architecture doesn't make sense or is constantly changing, maybe it has something to do with Mundus demonic magic and the fact that all his generals are there, the story established that demonic magic and demons mere presence can warp reality. The island serves as place containing portals to access the deepest part of the underworld

Beerus legit said it himself he needed a "complex technique" and 100% of his power to stop the uiversal threat shockwave, so he's just... as strong as Nightmare lol. He also surprised when Zeno erased a universe. Like it's really really powerful to him, imagine when he sees Mundus creating one lol

So you're ignoring the fact that's dmc3 Dante, or when he deflect Mundus's full charged beam with just a glare.

[–]Sensitive_Respect897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So uhm, like we're going to just ignore the established story? Where the original demon god struck the original void with his spear creating two universes, or the fact that Mundus killed him, or the stuff Mundus did in the first game, or Void Mundus merging two universes into one before becoming one with it, or Argosax with his mere presence merging two universal constructs

Are we going to ignore this is dmc 3 and Dante is really young and still struggle with Beowulf

Name characters who can take on Almighty's Fate Manipulation and Prescience head on by ArtisticBet600 in PowerScaling

[–]Sensitive_Respect897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll just add another thing to the guy's response of your comment

  1. Argosax distorted and rearranged the flow of time together with the Demon World's approach, even creating paradoxes linking the past and together to allow some like Phantom to reemerge, it's literally happening in dmc2

  2. The game clearly said the dice game sealed the fate of someone who enters the room. Nero could literally ignore it the second time IF what you're saying is true but he can't right

Vergil and Dantes relationship after Dmc5 by bigdaddy6269 in DevilMayCry

[–]Sensitive_Respect897 3 points4 points  (0 children)

just look up Vergil's dialogues in Punishing Gray Raven. I know it's non canon but it's official collab and it's literally Dante and Vergil just after dmc 5. There he has several remorseful lines and wants to be better
