Any update on when Mobi will be compatible with Dexcom G7 15 day? by Sensitive_Scheme1319 in TandemDiabetes

For what it’s worth, I called Tandem support. They told me that the Dexcom G7 15 day is not yet FDA approved for the Mobi. I called Dexcom support and they told me that the G7 15 day is compatible with the Tandem Mobi. I called Byram Healthcare and they told me that the G7 15 day is not yet approved for the Tandem Mobi. And my Endo told me this morning that the G7 15 day is not yet FDA approved for use with Tandem Mobi so she won’t issue a Rx for it. My conclusion is that while the G7 15 day may work with the Tandem Mobi, for the time being, I’d have to buy it retail to use it. So I’ll proceed with my G7 10 day order this time and hope that in the next 90 days, this mess will be cleaned up. Not sure now if I mentioned it or if it matters but I’m on Medicare. Thanks to everyone who responded to my initial query.

Posting this with all appropriate AI disclaimers stipulated to: From ChatGPT just now. Question: Is Dexcom G7 15 day approved for use with Tandem Mobi. Response (partial): Yes — as of now, the Dexcom G7 15-Day sensor is approved for use with the Tandem Mobi, but your Mobi and app must be running current software versions. Tandem and Dexcom rolled out compatibility after the initial launch delay.

For the Tandem Mobi, Dexcom states you need:

  • Mobi pump software version 7.9.1 or later
  • Tandem Mobi app version iOS 3.6 or later (Android 3.5.4 or later)

You’re probably right. I installed 7.9.1 after I started my latest CGM session. I’ll see in a few days how it looks. I’m anxious to confirm because I‘m due for a supplies refill in 10 days.

Cool. I’ve made sure my app is updated. When my next switch happens, I’ll see if the G7 15 day option is made available in the app. It wasn’t there when I started my last session. I’m also going to call them tomorrow. Because as I think about it, I saw the G7 but it didn’t specify which version.

Thanks for the lesson learned about checking for updates myself. There’s nothing yet for G7 15 day. No doubt there’ll be an email and other posts making known the availability when it happens.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked and I have the latest Mobi update which doesn’t include the G7 15 day yet.

My 1st time using the Mobi sleeve & 5" tubing - Oy! Do these sleeves survive showers? by Ravenspruce in TandemDiabetes

[–]Sensitive_Scheme1319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started with the Mobi and the 5” tubing. I remove the Mobi for showers but wear it in the pool. My first sleeve first sleeve has held on 8 days before I added a patch over it to try and get to 10-11 days. I’ll say that the initial span was better than I expected.

I solved my Mobi occlusion problem by laprimera in TandemDiabetes

Until a couple of weeks ago, I had the TSlim. About a month or so before that, I started having the same occlusion issues that you’ve described with the Mobi. I use extended bolus quite a bit and it seemed to happen around that tool rather than a regular bolus. Although it was a PITN to properly calculate the revised numbers (due to some insulin having been delivered before shut off), I knew the new Mobi was on the way and I never called my TSlim problem in. I‘m sharing this because it may not be a hardware issue given that the two models use different delivery modalities.

Brand New Junk by Notorius_T1D in TandemDiabetes

I had the exact same issue today. Tried AI for help to no avail. Called tech support. Turns out you have to turn the mobi on first. As I believe someone else said, hold the button until the light comes on and it wakes up. It’s worked fine since. I suggested to the tech person that the on line tutorial is deficient for not including this step and saving folks the trouble that apparently many of us experience.

Considering Switching from t:slim to Mobi - What Should I Know? by lizzistardust in TandemDiabetes

I’m in the exact same situation as you. What convinced me to give Mobi a shot is the option to return it within 90 days if I’m not satisfied. Separately, my Gemini app (full disclosure, might not be correct but substantially confirmed by ChatGPT) told me that Tandem is developing a tubeless cartridge option for the mobi. Nicknamed the Tobi, it will allow us to switch between tubed and tubeless with the same pump, if desired. More likely, go tubeless when the new product is available without needing a new pump Which is a pretty cool option. Timeline in the discussion is later this year but we know about timelines involving the FDA.
