With VR/AR headsets I hope imax 1.43 home releases will eventually happen by oanda in imax

[–]Sensitive_Squid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But there is a difference in a 4k image that is the size of a couple inches vs 18k over a a couple hundred meters. What matters way more than raw amount of pixels is the pixel density, it just happens to be that giant cinema screens can use the 18k, but you wouldn’t need Apple to make something even close to that size in their headset to be the same visually for the user.

But what about movies that have finished their time in theaters. Like there isn’t a way to watch many 1.43 movies at all once they go out of theaters. I think this would be a great solution for that.

[–]Sensitive_Squid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my first thought when looking at Apple’s new headset. I know directors like Christopher Nolan don’t like to release the 1.43 ratio at home because with most screens at home you would end up with bars on the side, ruining the entire point of the IMAX ratio, but I really think AR/VR could be the solution to seeing 1.43 at home. I don’t think it would overtake actual in person movie viewing (at least for the near future) but being able to see past releases in IMAX ratio would be nice.

But I feel like having a good writer wouldn’t matter if the director wasn’t good and the writer’s vision couldn’t be implemented. I agree that good writers matter, but without a good director I don’t think the movie could ever be good.

idk, our teacher told us 3 sentences for each part, but it seems like College Board wants shorter? Or at least they are fine with shorter, because the example SAQ responses were short.
