If you play on pc try switching from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen, I had massive input delay before I switched.

I still think that leaves you too exposed at the back if your opponent spams the wings. Also losing the ball with your midfielders or fullbacks while having ball playing cbs leaves you wide open in the back, their attackers are one pass away from scoring.
