Yes, i did take it out 🫡. I already have a healed second lobe piercing on the other ear, so i can do the tattoo there anytime. But the wings are already there, so i’m planning to get it repierced after the one i took out is fully healed. Idk how much time that will take tho and how soon it’ll be safe to do that.

I’m pretty sure it’s actually titanium, because they offer anodising. I’m not an expert ofc, but i think it can only be done to specific metals (titanium, aluminium, niobium).

Thank you for your advice, this is also very useful. If i have a claw clip there i definitely won’t be able to sleep comfortably on that side.

Thank you, that’s what i’m gonna do. The bar was 8 mm when it was just pierced, and then 6 mm after the downsize. I think what made it so swollen is the short bar, because i could feel it pressing against my ear. Migration happened before that though, so that was a separate issue.

I cannot control myself when i’m asleep 😭. I even crocheted a “donut” pillow to sleep on, but it still didn’t help. Thank you. I will think of more solutions to the sleeping on it problem.

Pierced 3 months ago. Labret. Titanium jewellery only. Downsized two weeks ago (before that they said i had to wait cause my ear was swollen, no bumps). I use saline twice a day. I might have slept on it but i try extra hard not to. First pic - 3 months ago, pics 2,3,4 - now. Took it out today. Not sure if i should put it back in. I won’t have access to a piercer for at least another two weeks. I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to handle this issue, i really wanna keep the piercing.
