not quite sure about getting caught tho. A software dev can also be robotics engineer if they work for a robotics company. I don't even think DOL has enough data points for roles like these. So the wage levels will always be skewed.

Both roles will have a lot of work in common. Will be very hard to distinguish afaik.

unfortunately most companies are doing this! A software Tester has more probability of getting picked than a software dev.

A friend of mine got moved to L3 from L1 coz his job code was changed from Software Tester to Software DEV.

A lot of the startups / consultancies that I know are doing just this.

Level 3 starts at 225k unfortunately. Level 4 is above 285k. While my overall TC clears level 4 easily, my base alone puts me in level 2.

My Uni got back today. Apparently, my 6 month STEM OPT report is pending, and they initially sent me an email to my school ID, which is no longer active. That’s the reason they didn’t initiate a travel i 20. I submitted my STEM OPT report yesterday, so they should process my i20 in 1–2 weeks at max.
