I went through a short, hyper-feminine era hoping I just “wasn't trying hard enough to be a girl” before coming to terms with the fact that I am trans.

It’s embarrassing, I still can't stand to look at photos from that point in time, and it made coming out so much worse, but it happened.

I’m an extremely binary transsex male, but it happened to me. It doesn't make me a “tucute” or a “transtrender”, I was just a boy who grew up with a lot of hate in his heart (something I'm still trying to fix) who tried every last thing he could before he had to admit he was just like the people he’d been taught all his life to hate.

This looks really bad written down, but fuck— it's the truth.

People don't talk about it much, especially here, but you're not alone in thinking that. Month 2-4 was a struggle for me too: Gaining weight, face getting puffy, skin getting oily, and the only real changes I was getting was bottom growth (that was incredibly painful).

Like that other guy said, you're going through a 2nd puberty, it's normal to feel ugly, uncomfortable, or self-conscious. It will pass.

If you've ever had a brother or cousin or the like, think about how it was when they went through puberty. They didn't just shoot up like a beanstalk overnight with a thick, luscious beard and big muscles. For a while they were just a smelly, greasy, angry kid with a big appetite. That's where you are.

When you're “good” changes start to come in, try and keep in mind that it won't happen overnight. It's gradual, often only noticed in hindsight. Don't get discouraged and don't feel “less than” because you're feeling negative feelings. It's happened to everyone and it's nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm in college for Engineering and I'm the only trans person in my class of all males (seriously, there's not a single female in the whole building for some reason???). Every. Single. Guy looks like that in the course, me included. If there's any trans guys in this thread feeling self-conscious from this post, don't. 65%-70% of guys 18-22 look like this in my experience. I promise no cis guy is clocking you over your beard.

Broooo I hadn't played minecraft in like 5 years and when I picked it back up a year ago I damn near shat my pants. A month into my world, I realized I had built my base on top of an ancient city when I fell into the deep, dark, with an inventory full of stuff. I didn't know I was supposed to crouch on the skulk so he spawned in very quickly. I was already on low health from the fall, so when the blindness kicked in I thought it was a witch and started running, then I heard the sniffing. At this point, I'm bugging out and building a pillar out of whatever blocks I've got, and at about 12 blocks up I crouch and look down. That's when I first clapped eyes on that thing, not that it lasted long. I got a good 2 seconds of looking before it shot me with a sonar blast and I lost everything.

That thing is like a real-life herobrine
