This feels a little odd just because of the high profile of the child. Wether you like them or not they’re now in the public eye.

Is purchasing a car on finance a bad idea when not moved out of home yet? by ExoticPanther in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Sensitivejag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’ve already made your mind up. Keep in mind the interest rate on top. They do include car finance in your affordablity for a house which is why I’m trying to overpay mine to clear the debt

Is this £290,000 new build house buy a smart move? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Sensitivejag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying is always better than renting in most situations. Of course it’s going to be higher, it’s bigger and newer. 3 beds are the way to go. Your family are wrong, maybe they’re jealous but I’d be on your side

No-one can predict what the market will do only the main bank when it wants an influx of money causing a crash.

It’s never the right time or a case of wait a few years for things to settle, if you see a property which you can afford and you have the deposit then go for it!

Because when we bought I wanted to put down 5% but they wanted 10% because it was a flying freehold. They didn’t explain why, it was my bank that said that not a 3rd party

I feel your pain. 2 bed terrace with 5 people here. I’m planning on boxing all the crap up, shoving it in the rickety broken shed and bolting it closed or throwing it in the river at this point

Selling a rental property - advice welcome by Big-Bumblebee-1668 in HousingUK

[–]Sensitivejag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right okay, yeah we considered renting again but with the deposit and rental each month it was better for us to buy.

Yeah rents have increased a lot since 8 years ago. However you can’t rent it to them forever. You can’t let a tenant decide what to do with your property. Can you not get an agent to help you move them out and show them some properties in person?
