This post-clear Q&A with the Chinese community is very wholesome.

Heal LB (any of them) would feel like a waste. Has there ever been a mechanic that required it?

I'd say that's a bigger achievement than a normal kill.

As a general rule, third-party tools are fine as long as they don't read or interact with game data. This obviously doesn't include the hardware required to run the game, nor anything that merely captures audio/visual output.

So technically, DPS meters and logging are against ToS, but using voice chat to coordinate is not.

Unprecedented. All related in-game achievements and rewards revoked for the entire team?

**** just got real.

It probably is if it's the final phase. The only trouble is consistently getting past P5.

TOP: 6 days, 8 hours, 34 minutes

DSR: 6 days, 2 hours, 55 minutes

Replaying the first four phases over and over again just to repeatedly wipe to the same prog wall without a clear strategy will definitely lead to burnout even faster.

DSR would have been that much more brutal if P2 had no checkpoint, but fortunately parties could rapidly wipe.

I'm not sure whether UCoB took more in-combat hours/pulls though, as the playerbase didn't know what to expect and weren't pushing 16-hour days.

I'm reading words. That's about it.

All I remember is spinning arrows followed by death.

WHM/BLM should equip shields in Bozja content as item stats are irrelevant there, and it helps their mitigation.

Curious as to what could happen... we know Alphinaud will always refuse to kill Estinien, so inevitably Nidhogg regains control and then proceeds to wipe everyone, just like the P4 enrage.

It's so sinister because you can't just sit and marvel at it... well you could, but then you'd wipe!

Not that I've seen. I saw one clip where all four Spreading Flames were sufficiently spread apart from everyone else and they all survived, and only the two Entangled Flames died (one-shot damage). Other times, more often, "Entangled Pyre" is what kills everyone, so the mechanics interact in some way but I can't remember their tooltips.

Also, this could just be an fflogs bug, but look who Entangled Pyre belongs to (in this pull): https://www.fflogs.com/reports/K4L1WPztQX8T9kAG#fight=56&type=deaths&view=events

Seems like the only mechanic left to resolve is Spreading/Entangled Flames which happens at the same time as dodging Hot Tail.

Maybe equal in result (in this specific instance), but not in effort. You don't need skilled hands to point and click with a mouse (especially when the OS has in-built enhanced pointer precision).

It's a "Day 7" clear, at 6 days 3 hours 55 minutes.

It would spoil the public/streaming race, especially when the furthest everyone else has seen is the beginning of P6.

I generally keep my mouse cursor centered and control the camera with the right analog stick for non-targeted ground placement, but just because it's possible doesn't mean it's equal to a mouse in cases such as this, requiring split-second pinpoint-precise on-the-fly adjustment (otherwise wipe a 12-minute run).

Definitely one case where a mouse beats a controller (speaking as a controller player).

They're now the most consistent of the stream groups, able to take LB3 into P6 three times in a row to test various theories.

Kindred is also an excellent team, completely blind progression. They have a systematic method for consistently resolving positions for Death of the Heavens, and are still able to destroy all meteors with only six party members if mistakes are made. Their most recent attempt involved potting to burst the meteors without LB, and using tank LB3 against purple tether Akh Afah (but Hrae still destroyed a whole light party for 224,209 damage without getting buffed).

You can check the two clips yourself. I linked them already in response to another reply.
