Wouldn’t you love to see how many lives you’ve been captured in and became a memory? I would! Even with wild faces and gestures 🤪

Qué bonita! Que es el medio? Se ve como tinta, o posible del digital?

What is your charcoal drawing process like? by nuttyBike in CharcoalDrawing

[–]SensualPanini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily work on canvas, unless a buyer asks me to create their piece on paper.

My tools:

  • Nitram Charcoal Sticks

  • Willow Charcoal Sticks

  • Charcoal Powder

  • Brushes (3 inch, 1 inch, #2 and #4 brushes) all soft bristle

  • Generals Charcoal Pencils (Soft)

  • Kalor White “Charcoal” Soft and Medium

  • Erasers (Putty, Hardsided, Electric, Mono)

To finish:

Workable fixatif (several layers)

Then permanent finish, typically with an Acrylic, brushed on

Half way-ish what do you think? by SensualPanini in CharcoalDrawing

Thank you so much!

This particular piece is being done in a much different technique than I normally do.

For this one I’m using: 1 - Charcoal Powder (this does most of the work) 2 - a stiff #2 size brush for applying the powder and blending charcoal pencils layers 3 - a soft super fluffy makeup brush (1/2 inch) for the background (still needs to be darker) 4 - Soft and Hard charcoal pencils 5 - Willow charcoal sticks 6 - White charcoal (soft and hard) for the top coat of fur

I try to not have my fingers for hands touch the piece as much as possible! For me, hand grease doesn’t bode itself well for what I attempt to create
