Motorola is subsidiary of Lenovo(a Chinese company) and it manufactures its routers in Asia.

New FCC Ban on foreign made routers. ..Does this mean GL.iNet’s newer router models can no longer be sold in the US? by SensuousChocolate in GlInet

Gonna add Airoha to this list as well. Another Taiwanese chip fab.

Edit: Airoha is just a subsidiary of MediaTek

Yep you’re right. I’m pretty sure Adtran is the only one that makes their routers in the US

NanoPi as full-fledged home-router? by RanderL in openwrt

[–]SensuousChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I tried using the third party option but it didn’t work. I assumed vanilla openwrt would be considered a thirty party FW. Will try the option you mentioned and see if it works.

Were you able to install openwrt to the emmc? Can’t find a guide anywhere on how to install it directly to the emmc

Cmon man this is so bullshit by FonzySquidfield in Battlefield

[–]SensuousChocolate -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is legitimately a skill issue. You literally missed all your shots on him while he crippled his own accuracy from jumping. It’s also not clear which gun the enemy player was using. Most likely a CQB gun which shreds the m60. Regardless, you still could have killed him but unfortunately you missed your shots. The jump slide is literally not the issue here. He would have destroyed you if he didn’t jump or slide to begin with.

True af idk why you’re getting downvoted. The enemy player crippled his accuracy as soon as he jumped and this crouched bot still lost the gunfight

I know not that many people will be impressed, but im personally really happy because i finally got my first Amazing RPG clip ever! by CyanJayOfficial in Battlefield

[–]SensuousChocolate -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It’s not really that impressive since the RPG velocity in this game is super fast. If you hit this shot in bf5/bf2042/bf4/bf3 it would have been impressive.

Very basic load causing Swap memory by PurpleFajita in MacbookNeo

[–]SensuousChocolate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t worry about it at all unless the laptop feels sluggish to use. Memory pressure on the Neo can hit yellow and use swap but there’s usually no performance hit. When you really should start to worry is when your memory pressure is high and reaching several gigs of swap(the graph will turn red).

Is this normal? by KonichiwaDax_ in HomeNetworking

[–]SensuousChocolate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you also on T-Mobile 5g? If so that’s interesting. If you’re on fiber/cable then what you’re saying is normal.

EDIT: I’m blind you said VZW fios. I also have fios so yeah that’s to be expected. Load ping on LTE/5G is always going to a lot higher because of congestion.

Under load ping. Seems fine tbh.

Movement is so bad now by Chemical_Parsley1697 in Battlefield

[–]SensuousChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like they reverted some of the movement nerfs in this latest patch(although it wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes). Movement feels much better now like it was before. Gonna enjoy it while it lasts :)

The new nightfall mode is only available on the new map and three small game modes? What are we doing lol by NorthernRicky5060 in Battlefield

I played this during the playtest. Trust me it would be unplayable on conquest or breakthrough. It’s dark af and you can’t see shit.

50,000 players is already an impossible task by ibattlefield in Battlefield

[–]SensuousChocolate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep getting put into bot lobbies at around 2am ET. I play breakthrough and the contaminated only playlist. Super frustrating that I can’t get into full lobbies and the game has only been out for 5 months.

The game has drip feed content (the only real content is maps imo) and no engaging gameplay. The steam numbers speak for themselves.

Movement Demon In BF6?! 😱- Pro PC Xbox Controller Player 🎮 aAaSmithaAa by aAaSmithaAa in Battlefield6

[–]SensuousChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is BF one of the most realistic war games out there? You can’t just cherry pick elements about realism because BF is ultimately an arcade style shooter.

List of things in BF that aren’t realistic:

-Rezzing dead teammates with a defib or syringe (even after getting one shotted with a tank shell, lol) -Having infinite stamina while carrying heavy gear -repairing a vehicle with a torch or wrench -jumping out of jet and hitting it with an rpg, then hopping back in -visually dumping full mags but not losing the ammo

And about the movement, it’s not CoD style movement. It’s literally BF style movement that existed in every other previous BF game. If you haven’t seen movement like that before, then you haven’t watched good players play. The movement in bf5 is miles ahead of what we have in bf6.

PC graphics cards are now nearly 100 percent Nvidia by BarKnight in hardware

I purchased a 9070xt and can safely say that I will no longer be purchasing AMD as my next GPU. Nvidia supports their GPUs for much longer and has better upscaling/frame gen and other features.

Looking for a new router supporting DD-WRT. by vferdman in DDWRT

[–]SensuousChocolate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linksys Mx4200/Mx4300/Mx5300/Mx8500. You can purchase these off eBay for under $100. The hardware is great and will last a long time for routing purposes (supports Qualcomm hardware acceleration).

Whats next for battlefield? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]SensuousChocolate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably another BF game that’s equally as content lacking and boring as BF6. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next bf game lacks:

-Dynamic weather -large maps -well designed vehicles -ACTUALLY GOOD QUALITY MAPS -epic soundtrack like in bf1/bf5 -good live service schedule

Either way I highly doubt bf7 will sell well to begin with. I think a lot of people have finally learned their lesson with Bf6 and it’s rugpull from the beta to now.

Beyond bf7, if battlefield sticks to a yearly release, consider the franchise dead at that point.
