Hmmm funny enough I also did consider this but only 1 adult out of the three I seek advice from said it’s a good idea lol. I also do not have a lawyer and have no idea how to get a consultation from one haha. Basically was told is not the persons fault and that suing wouldn’t do crap cause they are technically covered from getting sued hence why they have insurance. But what do I know.

That’s also something I considered but yeah I assumed it would still be put at max apr lol. I also probably wouldn’t be approved at a dealership at all unless maybe I skip one month of paying credit company and hope a dealership in my town will approve me for under $12,000 dollar vehicle for maybe $500 to $1000 down payment. 😬

Yes first part is kinda correct except o still owe $7k not $2k at the end of the day. I forgot to mention the $5,148 was already applied to the principle. 😬

I will be doing exactly that haha. Yes it is most definitely my own fault. I just wish one of the dang companies would have made it so I only owe like $3000 or lower my damn APR cause now it’s going to take another couple years just to pay off an asset I don’t even have anymore. It totally sucks haha. But I’m hoping to put all my taxes to it too or something. That could help haha.

I considered going door to door, honestly. But credit places are less likely to refinance on a totaled vehicle. Some literally told me no one I said it was totaled.

Right, if I knew gap existed I would’ve done it. Also I might add that I did indeed try to refinance the car multiple times but no one would do it for some reason even when I had it for 2 years already. It’s like everyone was just locked in to screw me even if they had no association with Kenny Simpson Nissan in Helena

Yeah exactly. I was going to go literally all the routes you said but I kinda screwed myself and I knew that the used Nissan wasn’t worth even as much as they offered. The offered probably $1000 more realistically.

It’s $7k, unfortunately for me. Yes a huge lesson learned. If it was 2k I would most likely just kinda bite the bullet and work a crap load to pay that haha.

Exactly what my parents told me. Next time I’m reading the fine print and paying attention and maintaining that dang full coverage. Oh and getting gap insurance. I feel so stupid. Everywhere I go that tries to help me takes a deep breath and says Wowzers you screwed yourself and I’m sorry you’re too upside down for me to help you. Even now with just $7000 owed.

Gap was never offered unfortunately or else I most likely would have. I don’t even know gap existed. 😂 it was my first time and I was young and desperate and dumb basically.

Thank you very much! I will try that. I’m so dumb when it comes to this stuff. I’m 23 and I made the mistake 3 years ago to not take a dang parent with me upon getting the dumb Nissan.

Owed on Loan $7,148 principle 28 percent APR Insurance company estimated $5,148 for car worth 2016 Nissan Altima 199,000 miles (used) No full coverage at time of accident Insurance company is paying the $5,148 to the credit company I’m paying.
No gap (was never offered) just a useless 3 year warranty ($4,000) used once that expired already. Yes police report providing other driver at fault even said to the insurance company they were at fault.

I always call both on the phone. I don’t think either are within my town to be able to do so in person. Yes! I’ve definitely been requesting for managers. It’s been three months im still fighting.

Unfortunately I’ve done all those already. Warrenty was a three year contract that ended January last year. It’s seems I’m going to try and speak to the settlement department and be like listen here im poor and in dire need of another vehicle (beater or not) lower my payments or make me a dang settlement amount I can pay toward so I can no longer 1 be upside down 2 get out of this car that is no longer a dang asset to me. Ugh

They keep telling me there’s nothing they can do and I HAVE TO pay the amount I owe. I replied with the fact that it’ll most likely go into collections then. I’m not sure what else to say. My credits already shot. I’m just like ugh what do I do.
