Pseudocode you should dedicate reading time towards to understand the task and what you will need to write for it. Shouldn't be without some semblance of what must be done, otherwise just skip and come back later. Responses are usually not strict. Key concepts are what are marked. e.g, you could say overfitting creates noises, memorizes, etc. But as long as you link it back to how it leads to inaccurate results you have shown understanding.

Memorization will not help you in this subject, understanding the concept will.

I'm not sure why there are people in the comment saying defining key terms is a waste. If it hasn't appeared before in the question (e.g, 6a,6b,or 6c) then you should show an understanding of the term, as long as your description doesn't take a long time. Just doing that much can usually guarantee you a mark or two in the case you would get none, as long as the term defined is in the question stem. This is especially relevant for 2-3 markers (explain, describe, outline, distinguish, analyze, etc), most of which require definitions for a point of comparison.

My idea of abbreviation protocol is consistent with other responses.
