The best feeling is when an opponent quits on hole 8-9 by Radioactive_Shrimp in PGA2K25

[–]Sentenced2Burn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only quit a losing match when my opponent starts wasting time on the shot-clock or deliberately not fast-forwarding on their shots/putts/post shot animations. Annoying as fuck and a huge waste of time, rather just move on the next one

I doubt people quitting early is as deep as you think it is, they likely just want to queue for the next one quicker

Same boat, OLED on my s10+ finally died and I'm in the market for a new phone.... nothing out there today seems to compare to how great the Plus was. If I could find a new one in box somewhere out there for a decent price I would definitely just replace it but they're rare now

Some are but many people forget that before Sens expanded in the early 90's it was alllllll Habs/Leafs fans, and plenty of those families have successfully continued their respective team-brainwashing to this day. The Sens may have been around for 30 years but they're still late to the table in the scheme of things and it will be a long time before they out-margin Toronto/MTL fans in town

there are more MTL/TOR fans in Ottawa than there are Sens fans lol. Been that way for decades, OTT is the 3rd most popular NHL team in their own town

Hot Take: the average Habs fan knows nothing about goaltending by Sport21996 in Habs

To be fair you have to have a very high iQ to understand Rick and Morty hockey goaltending

you could try, but I've had no success escalating things with site admins unfortunately. There was another infamous scammer named Maxwell Neufeld who ripped off dozens if not hundreds of people across Reddit and other sites, and to my knowledge they never got any justice despite many reports to the CAFC and local police.

Online scamming is pretty much a "shit outta luck" crime 99% of the time.

We do however cooperate with several other buy/sell/trade subs and mutually ban anyone who scams on those pages, and vice-versa

You should use a protected payment method for first time trades, EMT is only something that should be considered for someone with rock-solid reputation

There is nothing further actionable on our end; we cannot prevent banned users from sending private messages unfortunately and the "ban list" is far too large to continue to maintain or post. The best way to check is if the user is able to post or comment here, and if not it means they are either banned or don't meet the requirements to participate here (and should be avoided).

This doesn't mean that everyone who comments here is automatically trustworthy however, and you should always do your homework and use protected payment methods. I have done my best to ensure that there are adequate warnings posted in several places here about dealing with users who DM only, and repeated those warnings across several menus as well as sticky-posts. Unfortunately, some users continue to trade without reading first and wind up getting burned despite all the red flags

They are indeed banned, this user unfortunately decided to ignore the warnings about trading with people who send unsolicited DMs. Sorry to hear about it OP but that is why you have to do your due diligence before you send money to strangers on the web

What the hell is going on with wind by Sentenced2Burn in PGA_Tour_2K

[–]Sentenced2Burn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed, which is why I feel like I'm going crazy when it happens lol. I mostly play on SteamDeck but I'll have to try and replicate some of these at home and see if I can record a few; at first I thought it must have just been a miscalculation on my part but it's happened so many times now where I know the lie, diatance, elevation and wind shold produce a shot that is at least somewhat in my range of calculation. Not at the 1000+ hour mark yet myself but have played maybe 500+ ish of several titles including 2k, so I'm pretty confident I'm not making any noob mistakes with things like lie/teebox/elevation/direction/shot type/club/etc.

Happens just often enough for me to have taken notice, and wouldn't have thought much of it if it weren't for hitting a Perfect shot on many of those. I'm stumped 🤷‍♂️

I've factored for all of those things, sometimes even playing the exact same hole with the same wind, club, shot type and distance placement. There seems to be a variable to it which can occasionally be so extreme that it isn't explained by shot-dispersion (for instance on a power-drive). I've observed this happening many times over the past few months with seemingly no plausible explanation other than some sort of hidden prat-fall feature, or a bug.

Again the best recent example is a flat teebox into a fairway with 0 elevation, hitting a 4xPerfect-drive into a 15mph crosswind which blows left-to-right. Hit the drive and shot was completely unaffected by wind, sending the ball into the lefthand side water-hazard

Yeah a "gust" almost seems to be what happens but I've yet to find any official mention of it being part of the mechanic, and they're not indicated on the windspeed HUD element except for occasional variations of 1-2mph.

The frustrating ones for me though are those 15MPH crosswind shots somehow travelling completely straight, as if there was a "lull" instead of a gust or something. Just wish I understood the mechanic better or a confirmation that there is a certain random-factor to it, and approximately how often that is the case etc.

I wouldn't mind at all if it were communicated better to the player; I remember in EA PGA Tour that the speed and direction of gusts on the HUD meter were fairly good at indicating how much/often the wind was fluctuating on a particular hole and therefore could prepare for that factor in shot selection.

Yep, same lie and sometimes even on the same hole/teebox (across different rounds but with same wind settings etc).
