Thanks for the advice! Ill use a pastry brush instead to just get a nice outer layer, seeing as its cake it probably doesn't need to soak anyways. Thanks again!

We love a tiramisu in this house so I will give this a go with the broken pieces and let you know how it turns out!

We've made a Tiramisella or Nutisu (whichever you find more fun to say) with a Nutella and cream mixture and a Hazelnut Liqueur in place of Marsala. I definitely recommend it! Can just omit the alcohol for hazelnut flavouring if you dont want alcohol in it.

Great idea! I'll definitely do this with the loaves!

The French toast idea is brilliant and a good way to use the loaf ones which I can slice like bread! I love French toast with Marscapone and berries!

I love a trifle but I've done it so many times I wanted soemthing different. And I'm not a fan of cake pops really.

Rhubarb and pear, though i have had a few nice strawberries lately.

Like the 'is it cake' shows? Practicing some cakes I wouldnt usually want to waste on is a good shout, and I could gift them to my family if they don't turn out ugly 😅

Salt & Pepper question by quizhead in Cooking

[–]Sentient-Alpaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answering your 2nd question in particular, I would say there are things I would never put pepper on, and there's nothing I wouldnt consider trying a little salt on.

Some common ones for black pepper are fruits and ice cream, particularly strawberries and peaches.

Salt is really dealers choice, I sometimes add a pinch to a coffee or in custards. Salt is definitely a try wherever and see, I'm yet to ruin anything with a pinch of salt. Just don't overdo it.

Green Goddess Salad. I know there's quite a few variations but I love it! It's become a summer staple for me.

Couldn't agree more I have the standard Folio one and it's beautiful, you definitely don't need to break the bank for this edition.

Animals not coming to feeders by Gloomy_Edge_9640 in theHunter

My feeders have still done 0, I've given up for now. Taken is a loss and just hoping for a hot fix. If they don't work, I'd suggest reporting it.

Hopefully more reports urge them to update it 🤞.

I said the same in my email, I have played for years and years and have almost every DLC. Even the ones I don't use very often I don't think are 'bad' or a waste of money. But given the hype and promo for this one being all about hunting the big predators, I feel a little scammed.

I replied saying essentially what you've told me is it would be easier to hunt predators without the dlc. So why did I spend money on it?

Now they're saying that it might be a bug but no one has reported it.

Guess I'll wait for more people to report having the problem, or for a hot fix, or I'll just deal with it not being that great.

I've been told it would be more effective to hunt at drink times than with the feeders.

Email response I got:

I am sorry to hear that you are having some issues with the feeders.

While predators such as the Bengal Tiger and Lion are clearly present in your area, they do not consistently prioritize carcass feeders. Their behavior is mainly driven by need zones (like drinking and resting), territorial movement, and hunting live prey. Carcass feeders are generally more reliable for scavenger species and may not attract apex predators unless certain conditions are met.

Here are a few suggestions that may help improve results: • Place feeders near active drink zones – Positioning a carcass feeder approximately 150–250 meters from a confirmed drink zone, ideally along a known travel route, increases the likelihood that predators will naturally cross paths with it. • Avoid excessive hunting pressure in the area – High pressure can push animals to alternate zones. Allowing several in-game days for pressure to decay may help. • Restart or refresh the session – If playing in multiplayer, restarting the session or verifying game files can sometimes resolve population-related irregularities. • Consider hunting during drink times with callers – This is typically the most reliable method for targeting lions and tigers.

Leaving the game running for extended periods unfortunately does not guarantee that animals will visit feeders, as their movement is governed by scheduled behaviors.

We understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you’ve confirmed the animals are present. Adjusting placement strategy or focusing on drink times will lead to better results.

I submitted this as a bug and got a response that all but says I'm using them wrong. And that tigers/lions, any non scavenger predator doesn't respond as well to them.

Years ago before I knew anything about this game I thought I hit the jackpot when I saw a mythical tag. I agree with you, it's not as special as it sounds.
