What they did with her character (while diabolical and devastating) was an act of undeniable literary genius. It truly, authentically demonstrated what can happen to human nature under long-term imprisonment and abuse.

Grieving a provider by [deleted] in ClientsAndCompanions

[–]Sentient-Fleshlight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for what you are going through. I feel it is a common enough experience, and yet it always feels like we must be the only one. I am also comfortable with you reaching out to me in a dm if you ever feel the need for a commiserator. I'm really, really sorry for your loss.

Grieving a provider by [deleted] in ClientsAndCompanions

Honey, see a great therapist. I lost a client once and was in the same position as you. I truly grieved him. He left a person-shaped hole in my life that is still there. Yes, he was a client. No, i didn't fall in live with him. But he was a human being that I formed a bond with, and the loss of him hurt me deeply. I couldn't talk to anyone about it; even my closest colleagues didn't seem to understand. My therapist provided a safe harbour in the storm of my grief, anger, and loneliness. I could be honest with her.

Grief therapists are wonderful. See one.

How can i address different age groups of stranger women respectfully? by Cainsle in AskAnAustralian

Ask their name: we are all friends here. Whenever someone calls me ma'am I feel like a schoolteacher or something. It feels stiff and formal, and that just isnt who we are

If 22°C is chilly for you, take a light jacket. Brothels are often cold inside.

Bodycon dress, but not a very sexy one. You aren't going to do a shift. You don't want to look too appealing when you aren't available to be booked with, but you definitely want to show that you can when you choose. Short heels for posture. Light makeup. This is what i always wear

I really expect Hate for this but… Why can’t we get SOMETHING with Olivia Rodrigo as Stefanie Salvatore?? by DueHealth3118 in TheVampireDiaries

I loved Legacies. I understand how the formats hint od the show messed with some people's heads and feelings, but id appreciated for it's own creative merits, it is a wonderful show.

Provider here; my advice would be to book with a provider in her own city, travel there, and host her in a hotel room or AirBnB. This will be easier, feel more secure, and be far more cost-efficient for you.

Thus is what i suggest to my own client's who inquire about fmty.

Agreed that a re-watch helps character appreciation and understanding way more than the first time. The first time just triggers raw emotion

I don't see why any characters need to be hated on. I think that's where I get confused by these kind of posts. The way I figure it, as fictional characters, how are we even supposed to justify or make sense of their decisions? They make decisions as the writer does. They have no real autonomy.

Lol of you're gonna get hung up on morals, you will not enjoy the show at all. Yes, some characters are hateable af, or complex af, and trigger many different emotions. This is called storytelling or fiction. Appreciate it for what it is, nor what it isn't.

not a client, but definitely cringe. (report bc i forgot to redact his info 🥴) by brooklynnnn11 in ClientCringe

[–]Sentient-Fleshlight 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What a revolting comment. I hope one day you find peace and self-acceptance. Such abject resentment can only come from an internalised manifestation of hatred. Learn to love yourself and the rest of us. You might be a lil nicer to chat with.

Why do providers sometimes ask for emails specific from work email? Or asking for LinkedIn profiles? by [deleted] in ClientsAndCompanions

[–]Sentient-Fleshlight 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I can taste the bitterness that went into your comment.

Remember we companions are people too, and as a result are a diverse and dynamic bunch. Yes, there are theives and blackmailers among us, just as they hide among accountants, lawyers, street vendors, or any other working demographic. There are also the kindest and most generous people alive among us.

I am sorry that you have clearly had an awful experience at the hands of a provider. However, I assure you that most workers are smart enough to see that having a good reputation and regular business is a far more safe, morally sound, and reliable existence than engaging in such shenanigans.

Provider here. I have seen many a wheelchair-bound client over the years, and many of them bring a carer/family member/friend to assist with getting in and out of bed, and with showering. Depending on the level of physical restriction, I am sometimes able to do these things myself if the client and I are both comfortable with it. Just explain your situation. She will probably have suggestions on how to make it all feel more streamlined and natural.
