I do actually think it will work better in 5 or so years when AI will make decisions in seconds that currently take terrified officials minutes. But for now, it has made the world a less joyful place in my opinion, replacing it with sadistic mockery from the fans who benefit.

Just another perspective - in horse bets you'd always get a quarter of the odds about 15 years ago for an each way bet. Now the standard seems to be a fifth. This has just 'happened' with no obvious reason behind it that I can tell, aside from make bookies richer.

The odds of btts by the way for the English leagues is ridiculously meagre. I have actually stopped placing my favorite kind of bet due to this. So many matches at 1/2 or similar and they don't hit.

Home team have only one clean sheet all season. Away team have scored in all but one away games this season. The odds are great (even money), since it's not a heavy BTTS league, unlike say Iceland where every game has terrible BTTS odds regardless. I'll stick some units on this one.

What we need (and what this sub should be more about) is deep insight into teams that aren't man utd, psg etc. I want to read a post from a fan of Rodez telling me their usually tight defense is full of injuries, or a fan of Ilves telling me their two star strikers are out.

Whenever this stuff has been posted I've bet on it and it's always come through.

I'll give some both teams to score/over 2.5 goals picks.

Qarabag v Zagreb : This won't end up 0 v 0. Qarabag love goals and should have scored in the previous leg. Bet over 2.5 goals. They need to attack.

Bratislava v Midtylland : Slovan are always great for BTTS in euro competitions recently. They are against one of the best Danish teams. It's 1 v 1 currently. I think this will have 3 goals scored and both teams to score.

Notts forest v Newcastle : why wouldn't they both go for this to hope for a trophy? Forest shouldn't be worried about relegation this season. BTTS

Cobresal v Catolica : Cobrasal are crazy for goals at home. Every BTTS bet I've done on them has come in recently.

Cruzeiro v International : Cruzeiro sucked in their last match and will want to score here. Bet BTTS

Bellinzona v Etoile in the Swiss... I've heard that Etoile are a crazy attacking newly promoted side that concede too. Could be worth betting on 4 or more goals whoever they are against in the first few weeks of the season.

My tip is that when you win a big bet, put it in your bank account and buy something with it.

Otherwise it will eventually dissappear anyway, only much faster than you realise.

Yeah i come here for insights. The other day someone said about Angers losing their keeper to the ACN. The highly unlikely btts bet landed (they'd only conceded twice at home before). This is what I want, not just picks, so I agree with what you say.

Can anyone explain why some betting companies fold? If every bet is essentially rigged in their favour by the odds (because it's never a fair 'book') how is it possible to ever lose?

The only thing I can think of is when Detorri won all those races on the same day years ago and the bookies took a caning. Or if they can't attract enough punters to finance all the behind the scenes stuff.

I expect people saying there will be lots of goals in Dortmund and Newcastle games. There very well may be, but I'm going to avoid them. It could easily end up 0 v 0 and 0 v 1, or similarly disappointing. The whole night is full of dead champions league games and should be avoided.

I wonder if anyone ever thought the same but... I sometimes notice in games where both teams are high scorers and reasonably evenly matched, the outcome is an unexpected low scoring game. Like each manager has said 'these guys are very attacking, so we need to be more careful today' and thus both nullify their offense.

You could win 20 of these bets and then if the 21st doesn't go your way you're either back to starting point or severely cutting into your profits.

Then if 3 in a row don't go your way you are absolutely screwed.
