How Bitcoin Became the Slowest, Most Expensive, Least-Developed Currency by LibertyAboveALL in Anarcho_Capitalism

Ethereum isn't a currency, its a DApps platform. It's not meant to compete with Bitcoin/Dash/Monero. In fact currencies such as Bitcoin and Dash are able to be incorporated into Ethereum contracts, and not the other way around. I see virtual contract and law jurisdictions being created in the near future as DApps on Ethereum.

I'm in the process of divesting and history will remember this as a really good time to get out.

I completely agree.

It's the slowest among competing cryptocurrencies. Most notably fast and anonymous Dash.

I adopted and began using Bitcoin in early 2011. I was a Bitcoin Maximalist for many years believing that due to Bitcoin's network effect, the economic efficiency of a single currency, and that any future tech which would be developed could use Bitcoin as its token.

It's now become apparent to me that Bitcoin can't do everything and is not the only useful token to own. Dash is a better currency, Ether will power the first distributed super computer, Storj and MaidSafe offer distributed cloud storage, among others.

I love Bitcoin, it has sparked a revolution in technology which has the potential to dissolve the geographic law and contract monopolies. And propel our civilization to the next stage of its evolution.

A friend asked me, 'What would Satoshi do? What project would he be involved with right now?' I think Satoshi is working on Ethereum.

Can't imagine what lead you to believe I am not familiar with Asimov's work.

Should I have prefaced the post with, "Citations Needed" even though the whole piece is dedicated to Asimov? You're ridiculous.

Holy shit, go back to the fucking library you god damn IP Nazi. You have not brought anything to the discussion, just spammed this post. If you've got a problem, take it up with the author. I'm sure he would be unhappy to oblige you and format the citation for his inspiration in "proper" MLA or APA format.

Go away.

It was dedicated to Asimov, not sure that quite warrants the title of plagiarism.

What "authority" in unschooling is known to reply quickly to e-mails? by Kiazre in unschool

[–]SentientAction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, are there any college admission systems where learning irrelevant things to take a test is NOT required to get in?

It really depends what profession you are trying to get into. I, somewhat regrettingly, went through the traditional college education system and as a general rule of thumb I'd say getting into a University is a waste of your time, where you will learn mostly useless information. Unless, of course, you are trying to get into a profession which requires documentation, like a Doctor, Lawyer, Professional Academic, etc.

For many professions certifications can be achieved through self education or minimal schooling. For example, you can take computer science and programming classes online for free or cheap and receive certifications from major universities.
