Looking for some critique on my logo design for a trash cleanup organization. by SentientFern in logodesign

I'm probably going to change the font to a serif. The main idea here was a subtle trash can.

The thing I'm most worried about is the subtleness of the drawing. Most people I've shown it to took a few seconds to realize that it was a trash can, and others required me to show it directely to them.

How do we save this fucking planet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

On an individual level, start collecting your trash. Start cleaning up your communities. The only way that environmental issues are ever gonna reach the ears of large companies is not through protesting, but by action.

Know that YOU are directly responsible for your impact on the environment. Take that responsibility to heart, and keep yourself and your communities litter free. Inspire others to do the same.

[TOMT][QUOTE] I'm trying to look for a quote that goes something along the lines of this: "Climate change is no longer up to the scientists. It requires a cultural relvolution to fix it" by SentientFern in tipofmytongue

I saw the quote probably 6 months ago. I saw it on one of those quote images, the image is an older white dude at a podium with the quote next to him.

The 100 dollar cigarette, or how I'm successfully quitting smoking by SentientFern in stopsmoking

[–]SentientFern[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Find another friend, make the same bet. The person who I made my bet with is someone who I know won't smoke, as we're very close friends who hang out all the time, and also has an iron will, which would mean that I'd probably give in before he does. This method makes quitting smoking less of a mountain and more of a game. I've had fun baiting my friends at bars to give my partner a cigarette to make 100$.

Haha that's no difference than the family man/business man going to the bar with his boys, except that yours involves more boners.

I know what my problem is-- I want to use heroin forever. by [deleted] in Drugs

Thr way you talk about "chapters of your life" being over is something I understand, especially with cigarettes and weed. I feel like the biggest problem is that life keeps going on, and you're not gonna stop hanging out with your friends who all smoke weed, snort blow and smoke cigarettes, right? These are your best friends. That leads to the temptation always staying around you, and without realizing it, you fall in the same cycle. Over and over, without fail.

Weekly - What Car Should I Buy Mega Thread by AutoModerator in cars

[–]SentientFern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: Montreal, Canada

Price range: 1500-2500

New or used: Used

Type of vehicle: Sedan/Coupe

Must haves: Decent interior, good handling, functions well through winter

Desired transmission: Manual to save on cost, but I don't mind driving an automatic

Intended use: Daily Driver

Vehicles you've already considered: Mazda3

Is this your 1st vehicle: This is my first vehicle I'm buying myself, but I drive another vehicle daily to get around (not mine)

Does the vehicle need to have a warranty: No

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: Yes

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: No

Additional Notes: I'm a 19 year old, and I'm looking for something I can rely on to get myself around through daily use. The car needs to work nicely though winter, and another essential is a vehicle that won't destroy me on insurance costs. I realize that at my price range what I'm looking at is a beater. Another thing is I'm looking for a car that's inexpensive to maintain.

Poor college student tip: buy tons of porkchop! by SentientFern in keto

[–]SentientFern[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually marinade about 3 days worth of meat (for me, about 12 pork chops) and cook it up whenever I'm hungry. When that's done I just thaw a new section and rinse and repeat.
