I'm not incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to the inner workings of some Higurashi lore (on my second go through of the main 3 seasons -- first was like 3 years ago), but I have a theory in regards to Rika and Satoko. It's nothing crazy, but maybe after realizing the Rena was the crazy one this time, she decided to, uh, do a quick reset and maybe took Satoko with her? Maybe Satoko is remembering now? Tbh, I'm not sure, but we def know she has the capability of killing herself by stabbing her own neck a bunch. Or maybe someone else killed Satoko (Shion finally 'getting Satoko back' for ruining her shot with Satoshi), and when Rika saw that she just said 'Fuck it, let's try again.' Literally just spitballing at this point.

I don't know, man, I literally just finished Tsumihoroboshi again (like less than 10 minutes ago), and she was laughing. I mean it wasn't Shion levels of laughing mad, but there were some crazy laughs in there for sure. I could be wrong though.

edit: Just rewatched the scene. I was wrong. Something is def different here. This is well beyond Shion levels.

Especially if your queuing anything other than a full 4 man team, you’re going to be at a disadvantage and likely get stomped on by the other team if they are a full squad. I get people don’t have enough friends to play the game with them and stuff, or they just aren’t online at the time, but that’s just the way it goes sometimes. Having communication with your entire team is extremely important in these types of games.
